Service was excellent, friendly and inviting. Ribs were fire - not just the rub but quality of the pig, meaty and juicy, rendered nicely and not fatty. Bark on the brisket was insanely good. Very tasty sauce on the burnt ends, meat was kinda dry but they lived up to that traditional burnt flavor. Portions were huge, I got more than I bargained for - which was okay because... leftovers for breakfast! Outstanding meal, just can't go wrong eating here.
We had visitors from NYC who wanted to try NC style barbecue & we took them to Big Mikes. There were 5 of us & we ordered the Big Mikes Platter, it was plenty of protein & enough to feed 3 men & 2 ladies. Our visitors who are foodies, enjoyed & devoured their first NC style barbecue.
Big Mike’s BBQ in Cary, NC, is phenomenal! I started with the Smokey Mac and Cheese with pork, and it was absolutely amazing-creamy, flavorful, and perfectly smoky. For the entree, I had the smash burger, and it was equally impressive- juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is top-notch. Definitely a 5-star experience!
