“Food, service and prices were all wonderful. Nice and clean bathroom. No mocktails on the menu! I know you are a pub, but folks like to include their non-drinking friends. Suggestion: work on including more Irish Foods. Add a beef pie, colcannon, Irish fish stew and Irish deserts.“

“I went in the afternoon, so it was not busy. My first time here and Tyler was very pleasant and helpful when answering my questions. The restaurant was very clean, which is always a plus in my book. I ordered a lunch special which came with fish, shrimp, fries, and hush puppies. I also added a mac and cheese. My total cost was less than $20.The food was good, cooked to order so it was hot and you have option of how you want it prepared (blackened, spicy fried, Nashville hot, etc.)The mac and cheese was surprisingly good, but the portion size was kind of small. Also, I would have liked my fish fried a little longer but it was very good.I will definitely visit again.“

“Okay I have lived here all my life, I have known about all the legitimate places to get good seafood and fish. How have I never head of this place. So note there is a Market and an eatery they are side by side. The Eatery has different hours but none the less the fish and the side fixins were on point. I grew up with my grandparents cooking fresh veggies out of the fields/crops they grew and their veggies are that. Seasoned however like my southern grandparents would with ham hocks and I taste sugar as well in the two greens I had ( greenbeans and Collards). I had the Catfish which was just lightly battered and mostly fish while my hubs had the trout, both excellent the catfish as you would expect is thicker and fluffier, while the trout was thinner, and slightly more flavorful (did have little bones too) prob due to the skin and just a fisher fish. They also have chicken and dumplings ( appears only on Thursday and Fridays) so we lucked out with a side dish of that to take home - just like what my family used to make back in the day. I would venture to say the staff are either owners or family of owners they were helpful and friendly. Don't wait till "FishFryFriYay" go on and get some southern food and hospitality any day!. Smaller area to eat but as you expect for a more dinner type feel.“

“Oak City Fish and Chips offers the best seafood in the Triangle, hands down. The prices are affordable, quality is impeccable, and the service by Rosie Leach is exceptional. I’ve visited several times and has told many others to go see Rosie.“
