“We recently visited and tried their Mediterranean platter with chicken. The chicken was notably moist and flavorful, complementing the well-made hummus. Although the Greek salad was a bit sparse, it was fresh and tasty. The pitas, while not made in-house, were pleasingly fresh. The atmosphere of the restaurant is modern with a sparse decor, offering a clean but not particularly cozy ambiance. The service at the counter stood out for being friendly and efficient, enhancing our dining experience. Regarding value, the meal felt fair for the price paid, making it a reasonable choice for a casual Mediterranean meal.“
“When I moved to this Raleigh neighborhood years ago, I discovered a goldmine at Sassool Mediterranean restaurant and market. Sassool offers a fresh hot and cold food bar full of healthy and delicious choices in an extremely clean dine-in or convenient take-out option. You can choose from a wide variety of food combination platters, order a side or two, or you select your favorites by divided pounds packed fresh in front of you.I highly recommend their freshly made hummus. I buy a pound of hummus at a time along with a bag of pita bread as a healthy snack to take home. Their stuffed grape leaves, and chicken and rice are my favorites, too. I overall love this high quality, convenient, healthy dining option.Vegetarian options: The many offered vegetarian selections are clearly marked. The staff as well is always friendly and willing to answer questions, and graciously serve you.Parking: Multiple businesses and other restaurants exist around Sassool so parking somewhat depends on the time of day you choose to dine there. However, the shared lot is large, and I usually don’t have to wait.Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly. I frequently see families with even young children dining together. I have never noticed this restaurant to have much background noice (eg., upset children).Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is wheelchair accessible as the parking lot exists just outside the front doors. The lot is flat, and the sidewalk running parallel to Sassool has low level ramp access.“
“My husband and I come here weekly, sometimes more than once a week! The food is a great price and tastes authentic & organic... Definitely fresher than most food you can find eating out. The tahini sauce is so so good. I had the fried cauliflower roll (vegan!) and it's one of our favorites. Only $7.5!The dessert is also very homemade-authentic tasting. The best tiramisu I've had. Sweet, but not too sweet, and not "wet" or dripping like the defrosted stuff from olive garden that comes in a box.The people are also very sweet and smile when they see a regular like us!! You'll love it, it feels like family there!Dietary restrictions: Vegans and anything else can eat here. Truly one of the best vegan food places around, and yes, I love Pure Soul too.Kid-friendliness: Kids meals for only $5!“
“A must visit! The food was amazing with lots of options. You have cold and hot options to choose from. The pita bread was soft. This is store/restaurant. They have great dessert options too. This is my go to place! You have a parking lot, indoor and outdoor seating.“
“Aladdin's Eatery at North Hills is our neighborhood FIVE STAR spot for consistently great meals, outstanding desserts, and a casual atmosphere. My favorites are the V-9 'comfort soup with chicken and feta cheese, spicy cauliflower, or the Aladdin's Lamb Roll. But, so many great choices! The pizza photo is a grandchild's favorite. Desserts seem endless. In the spring, summer, and fall months, outdoor dining is a pleasure. To the Aladdin team: Thank you and keep up the great work!“
“I'm definitely glad to have found this place. I've been looking for good Greek food anywhere I have to go within an hour, and that led me here.Yup, I traveled an hour to eat here... and I'll do it again. You gotta try the lamb shank!Heads up: If you're looking for a classic Gyro, you won't find it here for dinner. That's about the only ding I can offer. So ... I'm going to have to come back at lunchtime to try that.“
“I had the Gyro platter and loved it. The salad was a little meh but I'm just chalking that up to the timing or the dressing. The gyro and tzatziki sauce was very good along with the fries.I was also told the grape leaves were pretty good as well from my wife and mother in law.“
“I enjoyed the salmon special last Friday. With the entree came two sides which I chose the quinoa tabouli and grape leaves ? + a glass of white wine. It was all really delicious, nutritious and the service was friendly. Plus I was able to grab a table and pull out my laptop for a quick distraction (was supposed to do work but uh ?).Back to the review - I happened to be in Raleigh the day before and went to the Strickland Rd location. The food and service there was consistent with this one. I just wish they were in Durham or Chapel Hill so I could eat there more often.“
