Love Bao Taiwanese Kitchen

After moving to Durham, I was looking for an authentic and reasonable Taiwanese restaurant, and this place is what I was looking for! The owner was kind and greeted us well. I really liked chicken pie(지파이) from Taiwan, and the Mega Chicken Fillet was very delicious, and the portion was more than enough! I highly recommend this plate👍! My wife got the Braised Pork Belly plate and the pork belly is very soft and flavorful. Every plate comes with three side dishes, two pickled vegetables, and one boiled egg. Very tasty!

I only gotten the bao buns but I haven’t been left disappointed by any of them yet. I need to try the other dishes on the menu!

Excellent food!

Very authentic so take that into account if you’re accustomed to more Americanized food; my bf wasn’t big on the flavors bc of that but I found I enjoyed it more the more I had it.

Tried the braised tofu and it was great! Their bao is very good but try the boxes.

Briased Pork Belly Rice Plate had 38% increase in price between 2021 ($11.50) and 2025 ($16.00)! How is that justifiable? Food is good like other stalls in H-Mart, but it is not priced competitively.

I bought two different bao buns today. One was amazing but the other one (mala spicy sauce pork belly) was literally one of the best things I've EVER had in my life. It was so good I walked up and told one of the workers how good it was. The pork belly was cooked to the point of melt in your mouth goodness. And the other vegetables had so much good flavor! Glad I took a chance and tried it today.

Poor customer service. They messed my order up and when I called the girl argued with me saying I didn’t want it. Well obviously it’s a language barrier going on because why would I call back if that’s true. I wanted to refund the food ( I didn’t touch anything). They told me half refund only. Mind you this is my first experience and I will not go back.

This place is SO GOOD. It’s located in H Mart (basically a small food court inside of a large Asian grocery store, itself amazing), and has a small menu, but has three different rice plates and two different bao buns that are vegan and absolutely DELICIOUS. The vegan pork belly blew my mind - my husband and kids loves all of the dishes too! HIGHLY recommend!!! #Veganuary

Love Bao is my favorite Taiwanese restaurant in the area. The pork belly gua bao is reasonably priced, delicious, and wonderfully authentic! Very melt-in-your-mouth and a good balance of flavors with the pickled veggies. Definitely also recommend their lu rou fan rice plate! Have tried many of their dishes and hope to go back soon.

I really enjoyed the gua bao and the wintermelon tea I got. I haven't had much experience with Taiwanese food before, but this was such a wonderful experience and introduction to it. I definitely will be going again to try more menu items!

This destination is very solid. The owner was very nice and greeted us with a wonderful smile. The portions are generous and the flavor is authentic Taiwanese cuisine. I’ve lived in Taiwan for many weeks, and I definitely approve of this restaurant.

This place is my go-to and it disappoints!! They have amazing vegan/vegetarian options! Their drinks are also very delicious :) Every worker has been super sweet and very flexible when it comes to alterations <3
