Dinner was amazing! I had the vegetarian ramen and the agedashi tofu, and both were so flavorful and delicious. Service is always lovely, and will definitely be back!
Wasabi fries are reason enough to drive from Raleigh. Can’t wait to visit again.

Shinmai is a gem, offering delicious, authentic, and well-prepared dishes. The ramen is deeply aromatic, well seasoned, and generously portioned. The appetizers are light, refreshing, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The staff is wonderful, very friendly, and attentive, offering helpful recommendations. The restaurant itself is clean with a relaxing atmosphere, tucked away in a quiet plaza. The owner served them and was unbelievably kind and respectful, making Shinmai a must-visit for thoughtful Japanese fare.
