I have lived in south Korea for over 30 years and have eaten many different types of chicken. This is the worst chicken I've ever had. The lack of sauce on chicken and strong chicken smell, and the sauce only tastes like pepper and curry. I doubt if this is really Korean style chicken. $14 for 8 pieces is by no means a small amount.

Every time I have ordered fried chicken from here, it has been fine. It’s crispy and the supreme sauce is good. It’s consistent and I like how it stays crispy for a while. She also poke holes in the container so it doesn’t get soggy.

This chicken is nothing but battered chicken you can find in any cheap bar! It's a rip off. Paid $20 for 12 NUGGETS that taste like trash. Anyone that wants authentic Korean double fried crispy chicken, Don't go to this place. Best Authentic Korean fried chicken closest to Raleigh is (bb.q Chicken Arboretum) located in Charlotte. I was calling the one in Atlanta and having them overnight me chicken and placing in the air fryer. TASTE like it's freshly made and crispy like no other. First tasted them in Tokyo. They are ranked No. 1 for a reason. After 1 bite I through Soo Carolina Chicken in the trash. I wouldn't let my dog eat it! They place sauce on it for a reason. To hide the fact that it's terrible and bland! That's not Korean chicken. Just Koreans cooking it!

I’ve been a fan of Soo Cafe for many years, and painful to drive to Capital Blvd these days from Apex - yet so worth it. I’m so happy knowing that I can get the same food close to me!

This is the worst Korean Fried Chicken I ever had in my life! Soo Cafe's quality has really fallen since they moved in to H-mart. Too bad all the non-Koreans (AND native Koreans) are getting tricked to buy these, and thinking it's the same thing as the actual KFC back in Korea. Third time ordering with over-fried/burnt meat. The fried skin tastes like crunching on burnt chewy cardboard and little to no meat is too chewy being overcooked. It's sad one has to comment even on the sauce, but it's way too runny, losing flavor in the actual meat. This is nothing like the authentic KFC, not even close. Save your stomach and money. Coming from a Korean.

Seems like she doesn't want to take an order from guest and Not worth the price. And if there was an option to give zero star, I will get it.

It’s located in H-Mart and by far my favorite takeout. The chicken is consistent and deliciously crispy.. I’m not a huge fan of fried chicken but I’ve been craving Soo’s Carolina Chicken about everyday this week after trying it. I highly recommend the Soopreme sauce options and I found the spice levels to be absolutely perfect where it’s just the right amount of spice (enjoyable) but not painfully so for the sake of it. Expect about a 10-15 minute wait time.

The chicken was perfectly cooked and crispy, I don’t think I’ve ever had chicken cooked that well. I ordered chicken tenders with the soga sauce. I do wish I had gotten it in combination with the spicy sauce, because the soga isn’t super spicy, but it was still really good.It did take us a bit to find since we’re not local, it’s inside the H mart.

Not a Korean Fried Chicken expert but the sweet Chile wings were excellent and exactly what I was looking for. The wings were a good size and 10 would really be all you need to be filled. The business is inside H-mart in the corner food court. Easy to miss but it's there. Will definitely be back.

This was our first time eating here today. While we were waiting in line. You could smell the korean fried chicken as the people walked by. I walked over and spoke to Jina; I told her this was our first time coming here. She's absolutely wonderful. She explained the difference between the original sauce we wanted and the sweet chili. ?Needless to say, we ordered a whole chicken with original sauce and a 5 piece chicken tender with sweet chili sauce.I would highly recommend coming here. They are located inside the H Mart food court; in the corner on the right side as you face the food court. We will come back to order more from her. Jina, thank you for your kindness; it's greatly appreciated.I didn't get a picture of the tenders; they were eaten too quickly. ?

Soo Carolina Chicken redefines traditional Southern fried chicken into something of local phenomenon. Crispier and intensely bolder in flavour than traditional Southern recipes, this Korean variation feels right at home in North Carolina. Located in the food court at H-Mart in Cary, Soo Carolina Chicken is a perfect alternative for those who want a refreshing diversion from regular fried chicken. Service is friendly and hospitable.
