Fabulous Muffalota sandwich and Jambalaya.

Starting with the positive, our server was very nice and attentive. She was pleasant, got our food orders taken and out in good time, and kept our drinks refilled.

The food, on the other hand, left much to be desired. Maybe it was an off day, seeing that we checked the reviews before we went.

I started with the She Crab Soup. It lacked flavor and was very underwhelming. It also had an off putting liquid on top when served; I just stirred it before I had a taste. My husband started with the Seafood Gumbo, he also wasn’t impressed.

We both ordered “A Taste of Louisiana”, which came with jambalaya, gumbo, sausage red beans and rice, and a choice of shrimp or alligator - I chose the shrimp and he chose the alligator. The gumbo and jambalaya weren’t seasoned very well and didn’t have much of a flavor.

We agreed that the best thing on the plate was the red beans and rice. *if I chose to go again, that is the one thing from this visit I would order again*

The kids ordered the fried shrimp platter - they did enjoy them. I will say the few shrimp I had on my plate were also pretty good.

Very good creole options, gumbo and jambalaya and red beans and rice are all very unique and have a rich flavor. The fried shrimp and gator are cooked perfectly too!

The food at The Big Easy wasn’t terrible, but it definitely didn’t live up to the hype—or the prices. Portions were smaller than expected, and the flavor just wasn’t there. Take the jambalaya, for example: pretty average. I’ve had better at places that don’t even specialize in Creole or Cajun food. If they focused more on depth of flavor and less on the sales pitch, it could actually be something special.

Been a while since I have written any reviews. Im busy and selective, but this place has earned my stars. Big Easy is that local bar with some real great foods. New specials every month offer great variety. From sports to karaoke to an incredible staff, who work hard to please. Bartenders will mix your fav, just ask the ladies. Great beer line up from IPA's to Non Alcoholic brands. Indoor and patio seatings. Place just keeps getting better. No need to wait for a table. Seat yourself, and they'll do the rest. Like the name says, "Big Easy!" Southern charm, Cajun style. I'm not a bot. I'm just a guy who loves to eat. Tell them Brian sent yah.

Parking: Large Plaza lot.

Wheelchair accessibility: Roll in the door. Open floor seating.

My office is the across the street and we all go to Big Easy often. I mostly only ever order my food Togo. My fiancé and I decided to eat in for lunch. When we entered nobody acknowledged us. We decided to sit ourselves (not know that was what we were supposed to do- no signs no acknowledgment from staff) when we sat down at a 2 top at the bar I smiled at staff that came from kitchen and was met with a non smile.

Bartender comes up doesn’t say hi, welcome, how are you she says “y’all dining here?” After we have sat down and put all our stuff away. Of course we’re dining here, that’s why we’re here. She never once smiled, introduced herself, she said “so what do you want to drink?” We ordered waters and then left before she came back.

We were so excited to eat there but the lack of excitement and acknowledgment of us coming to spend our money on the food and their tip just really messed up the whole experience.

Can’t imagine eating here again. My office/the building we’re in across the street either.

The food consistently very salty but good when you're in the mood for that. Just do NOT order the brisket sandwich. Dry, chewy, leathery thin sliced "brisket", half made up of chewy fat. Soggy bread that fell apart with the sauce and fried onion.
The po boys are pretty good though, and so are the other Louisiana dishes.
