The Pad Thai was a little too sweet, but the Pad See U was good. The staff was friendly and the place was clean.

The to-go service was quick. Your drink comes per bottle/can. No neverending refills from a fountain, here. You pay for every drink. I ordered 4 shrimp spring rolls for $5.95 (2 come per order). The shrimp spring rolls each had 1 measley shrimp that had been sliced thinly into 3 pieces. You are paying for lettuce and carrot rolled up in moist rice paper. Do not believe for a second you're getting anything other than that or you'll be just as angry as I was. Literally no shrimp and one was missing thai basil and shrimp all together.
I also ordered a poke bowl. These are traditionally prepared with cold water washed cooked rice because its a cold raw dish. However my salad had piping hot rice thrown in with no protection ontop of the bare plastic which warped and partially melted. So i had to scrape that part of the rice off to avoid eating plastic particles. The salad and salmon thrown ontop of the hot rice had cooked by the time i got home and was a sloppy soggy mess.
I wont be back

Terrible Service & Tiny Portion

Ordered spicy Thai fried rice with eggplant, got barely four tablespoons while my friends with chicken got full portions. Staff gave a ridiculous excuse that eggplant “shrinks the rice” and still charged full price. Service was awful, hard to get attention, and they showed zero concern even after I mentioned I brought a group with me. Left hungry and disappointed. Never going back.

Tom ka soup was really delicious. Spicy fried rice was okay.

Yum Yum Thai is a hidden gem! I tried the Massaman curry and it was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. A must-visit for Thai food lovers!

Service is very good. Taste of foods changes occasionally. Some days are good others mediocre I guess it depends on who is in the kitchen. My biggest complaint is the portion got sooooo much smaller. It used to be plenty even lunch time. I always took left overs if I went for dinner

Today I had a fantastic team lunch at Yum Yum Thai in Cary, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We started with the vegetarian soup, which was light, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—a comforting way to begin the meal. The Edamame was fresh and lightly salted, offering a simple yet satisfying appetizer. The highlight of the starters was the Shrimp Bikini—shrimp, fried to golden perfection. The sweet chili dipping sauce added a tangy kick, making it a standout dish.

For the main course, we tried the Shrimp and Chicken Khee Mao, served with two spice levels: high and mild. The high-spice version packed a bold, fiery punch, perfect for those who enjoy heat, while the mild version allowed the dish’s rich flavors of fresh basil, garlic, and chili to shine. The wide rice noodles were perfectly cooked, with a chewy texture that complemented the tender chicken, shrimp, and crisp vegetables. We also had the vegetarian Khee Mao with mild spice, which was equally flavorful, featuring a colorful mix of fresh vegetables coated in a savory sauce.

To pair with our meal, we enjoyed Singha Thai and Heineken beers. Throughout the meal, Shizu provided exceptional service—she was friendly, attentive, and quick to accommodate our preferences, making the experience even more pleasant.

Overall, Yum Yum Thai impressed us with its authentic flavors, well-executed dishes, and warm hospitality. Whether you’re a fan of spicy Thai cuisine or prefer milder options, their menu offers something for everyone. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning for another delicious meal.

Great little Thai restaurant with delicious food, solid service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I can't recommend YUMYUM highly enough. Having eaten at Thai restaurants all across the United States over the years, YUMYUM remains one of my all-time favorites. You can't go wrong with their Mussman Curry, or the Num Tok. But I've never had a dish here that I didn't like as far as that goes!

The Pad Thai was too sweet and too mushy, as if the noodles had been over cooked. Like many other Thai restaurants around here, when you order something extra spicy it seems they think that means more spicy sauce. Why can't these restaurants add Thai chili peppers, dried flakes or freshly chopped, to make it more spicy? Squeezing more Sriracha into the dish does not make it taste good necessarily.

I also almost tripped over a fan going to the bathroom to wash my hands. They had the cord stretched out across the floor where people need to walk and didn't even try to tape it down.
