So my wife and i went here the other night for the first time. Let us start with a few positives. First the atmosphere of the place is quite nice. Good bar and first impressions walking through the door were very good. That's when it all falls apart. There was no one to great you or to help you to your seat. We waiting a good 10 min for someone to acknowledge our existence. Once they did and we were seated the staff was friendly when speaking with us so that was good. We ordered our meals and had to wait an hour for our food. The rice and beans had no flavor at all and my wife's carnitas were way over salted. The entire time we sat there you have to listen to banging of dishes from the kitchen. The place is very small and that sound echoes throughout. My food was ok but nothing special. This place has lots of potential but overall it will be a place we skip going forward.

My husband and I eat at Chile Loco each time we visit Cashiers, and we are always most satisfied with the food and service, including today when we visited for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious, made with the freshest ingredients, unlike the Mexican food that is available where we live. Our server shared that her grandfather is the chef. Kudos to him for preparing the most authentic and delicious Mexican meal we've had in a long time!

Seems to be expensive compared to other Mexican restaurants. Chips and salsa cost $5. Must order toppings for fajitas and they are expensive. Margaritas just ok and expensive for size.

We ordered ahead and arrived just before the appointed time. Then we waited 25 minutes after that time before the food was delivered. But what really put us over the edge was arriving home and finding that they didn’t include the tortillas for the fajitas and burnt flan. It would take a lot for us to return.

Service was attentive and considerate with the whole visit not many complaints.
My plate came out ridiculously fast however and it’s cool if had tasted better tho it’d have been a lot better but I don’t think there’s much to do with that except tweak the recipe. The atomosphere was dead unfortunately no music that i could hear nor a single other guest around.

Kid-friendliness: There was a pretty medium grounded kids menu that wasn’t Spanish style exclusively so they are pretty great at catering to picky eaters no problem

Authentic Mexican food, full bar, casual, clean atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Our favorite in the area. (Enxhiladas Mole and soups are delicious, pass on the nachos)

Fantastic meal! Spicy margarita was top notch and the chicken fajitas were very well seasoned and the hot sauce made in house was delicious.

The people are nice and the drinks are very good. The food is not my favorite. The chips are far too thick and the prices are too high for the quality of food they offer.
