The atmosphere was great, there was a paino called the great piano in the big room that really brought everything together. Our waiter Joe, was the funniest person I had ever met and I made sure to leave a great tip. Another waiter, Braden was a sweet respectful young man that will put a smile on your face with how nice he is, The food was very good and the new barn bar had really good drinks and were a great addition to my meal. Definitely recommend to everyone.

I was pleasantly disappointed ?. Service, food, and facilities = very average, prices = sky high!

Writing this review on behalf of my mom, who came to the restaurant with friends. They ordered several dishes including mussels and crab cakes which caused two of the ladies in the party to fall very ill for a day plus, and ruined their trip. When they called to complain, the restaurant contact (Chad) remained silent and didn’t even apologize. My mother ordered chicken livers and said they were so bad and peppery there must have been an accident in the kitchen. Sad that the food and customer service was this bad, and there wasn’t an apology.

When my sister visited in July I treated her to dinner at The Orchard. Our meals were delicious and Joe provided exceptional service. I love taking my family and friends here.

I hosted a rehearsal dinner for 64 people. The venue is beautiful. The guests praised the food and the serving staff. Shout out to Travis for accommodating my needs and for his excellent communication. Highly recommend.

I had the special, which was cod, and scallops on risotto. It was wonderful, as always!

We had a very nice dinner here. The potato & mushroom soup was delicious. The shrimp and grits were good. Our reservation was at 8:30. We had an appetizer, but didn’t get our meals until almost 10. I would suggest making your reservation several days ahead of time as this is a very popular restaurant in Cashiers.

The Orchard has never disappointed us, and thus it was last night. As we walked from the parking lot I noticed only one other license plate from North Carolina. The farthest away was from Michigan! Our table overlooked the orchard! As usual the service was impeccable and the food wonderful! I ordered the Glenville Trout. WOW! As you can see, I was unable to finish it and am looking forward to lunch today!

Good food and service. A local mainstay. A drawback is reservations must be made through Resy where you must set up an account then get emails and your information is shared. Not good.

So disappointed. Told I was going to eat an amazing steak. I ordered it medium rare. Came out medium at best. Told the server and instead of immediately saying “let me get you a new one”, he looked as if it was an imposition, and asked me if I wanted him to get me another one. I said yes, and since it was late and restaurant ready to close, I went ahead and said box it up since I didn’t want all 6 others at the table to have to wait. And when brought out he stated it was a little undercooked so I could heat it up. At this remark, I knew it would be rare. Got home, and yes, inedible. Threw it in the trash. What a waste of money and more of a disappointment due to the high expectation I had of the restaurant..

As we have dined there many times, the food has always been excellent.
I was a little bit disappointed at the slow service as it was never slow.
It shouldn't take 3 hours to have dinner.
I would still return for another excellent meal.

This place I believe is better than tavern on the glen in New York. The food and service is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect. We have been eating here since the move from the white goose that their family own then. You must try it

Our server was excellent, the trout dry, the crab soup incredibly bland, the quail app to die for, and the overall experience a zero. I made reservations for our 20th anniversary dinner (and indicated such) there weeks in advance even though it was late April and was not needed as was evidenced by our arrival at 7:30 to a restaurant less than 50% occupied. We were put in a tiny wooden room right next to a table with 2 couples including one gentleman with a booming voice. It was beyond distracting. Their conversation was in our laps. And it ruined the anticipated experience for us.The man seating us acknowledged it was our anniversary. But seated us at what was the worst table. I know because I got up and looked around. There were many, many other options. I didn’t expect the best seat in the house but I didn’t expect to be so close to a table that we were forced to listen to their conversation all night. It was overwhelming. It’s ignorance. I would like to ask the man who seated us if you were going to a nice restaurant for your anniversary is that where you would want to sit? Seriously?? Where is your head man? We’re not ever coming back because that kind of stupidity and lack of thought for the customer experience in a fine dining establishment is quite disconcerting.

We went for a birthday dinner. One person in our party has a serious dairy allergy. After a slight miscommunication, our server and the chef were incredibly accommodating, even making a special dish! Wonderful service and the food was absolutely spectacular! Thank you ?
