Had horrible experience with snippy bar cashier (had a lip ring to identify her) and asked to speak to manager. That “manager” was equally rude and did not resolve issue. When I asked for district mgr name to the bar cashier, the “manager” popped her head up and yelled “leave and don’t speak to anyone else.” Wasn’t yelling or rude and her attitude was childish and appalling to a paying customer. I’m old enough to be this rude “manager’s” mother and she was beyond out of line. Grabbed card of “Tony” on bar and told bar cashier I’m leaving a bad review and she snipped back “you do that!” Both these young girls have no concept of being professional to customers that ultimately pay their wages/tips. I called Tony from our table and he came to it. Tony was VERY helpful and did what a real manager should have done in the first place. He was great, the other two young girls would have been fired if they were my staff. Owner should commend Tony and reprimand the two young girls. I doubt we’ll go back.

Friendly staff, clean safe place. Whiteside, whiteside, get in my face.
Frog butt Gargoyle, bussin Justin. Collins cool, we might be cousins.
Ryan, Barry, all the others. The burgers are smashed, the hens are all mothers.
You feed my soul in that lifelong way. If you were a man, I would be gay.
I think of whiteside when skies are blue. I hear WONDERWALL and think of you.

Very disappointed. We stopped in our first night in town and had a great experience. (8/29/24)We ordered wings with sweet potato fries and the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and had 2 beers. The total was $51 and change. We thought the food was great so we decided to go again on our last night in town. (9/5/24) This time we both ordered the grilled chicken sandwiches and 2 beers. Total was $49 and change. The sandwiches came out with no fries. We were told the fries are extra. How was the bill almost the same amount with pretty much identical pricing in what we ordered. Did they just not want to make fries??? We sat outside and it was a chilly evening we asked if the gas fireplace could be lit and was told there wasn’t anyone there that could turn it on. (Wasn’t busy at all) Great feature to have but only if someone knew how to turn on a switch to light it.

Outstanding chicken sandwich, smash burger, fries, & beer. They should have two lines to order food, waited in line for 15-20 mins. Otherwise, a great experience.

Beer was good, food not so much. First time there, I asked, bartender said the smash buger was very good, said fine she asked me how I wanted it, I said medium, got a side of fries to. When the order came the fries were cold, the bartender tried one and agreed, the runner said they just came up, sorry, not true and fries were also very salty.
Burger was well done, runner said that's how they make all the burgers, then why did I get asked on how I wanted it cooked. It was a burger people, I gain nothing from this post, I'm just honest.
It was my first and last time going to the Whiteside Brewing Co., in Highland. NC.

Lovely outdoor area. Pet friendly? The staff is great and fun atmosphere… so they’ll let you sample the beers but really wish they would offer flight options. I still highly recommend!! Wish I would have taken pics of my food - the. Deep fried pretzels ? are amazing!!

Sat outside on the dog friendly patio and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Gorgeous setup with plenty of outside seating and parking. Service was good and I loved the beer. I highly recommend the amber!
