What a GREAT place!!! We were staying in the Cedar Grove area while going to Virginia International Raceway and each night stopped by the tasting room. Wesley was helpful with suggestions and the cider is AMAZING!!! The PawPaw and Summer Sunset were our favorites.
Visited briefly on my way to Virginia for a little break. I was the only person there on a Friday afternoon and the experience was incredible.
The staff was very friendly and walked me through their offerings, helping me decide the best cider for me. They recommended The Bitter End ,which is hands down the best cider I've ever had. I even bought a bottle to take home.
They only have outdoor seating that I saw, but lots of it is covered. It's a great way to have a relaxing time with a drink and enjoy the outdoors. They leave it feeling wild with lots of weeds and wildflowers, which fits their aesthetic very well.
Definitely go out of your way to stop here!
Great place for the variety of beverages ranging from wines to ciders to beers. Nice relaxing area outside with lots of tables. We weren't there when they had live music but I bet it would really be a lot of fun when they do.
Couldn't give it five stars for a few deficiencies. There is no inside seating. I didn't like that their menus by the ordering window don't show prices. The ordering window is inpersonable. If you're used to going to a winery that has a tasitng bar and getting the background and information about what you're drinking, this is not the place. They had a pretty lame one speaker system playing music to the outside area that you couldn't hear unless you were right by it.
I don't want to give the impression that this place is not worth going to. It is, and we will probably go back. I just hope they are able to take some constructive criticism to make the place even more awesome!
We absolutely loved this place. Everyone was super friendly and they have the best blueberries I’ve ever had! Can’t wait to visit again
What a layed back place to stop in for refreshing snacks and drinks alcohol or not. There are tasty local food options to eat in or bring home to cook up later (there is a fridge and freezer around back. They have weekend events, seasonal berry picking, and a giftshop too. The ciders and wine were quite nice .
Super cute! I got their Rose and really enjoyed it. All seating outside with a cute indoor shop.
Savanna is the most amazing customer service centric person I have EVER encountered in the service industry in all of my food/wine/beverage experienced hands down. This young gal performs like a vested owner, speaks and relates to clients like a true trained professional that actually care about your experience in this establishment. The most amazing handcrafted beverage maker and beyond an expert when it comes to tinned fish. The selection of wine, cider, beer and so much more!!This is our 3rd trip in 2 months and this will be our go to local stop due all of the listed and especially Savanna! The environment is intoxicating and beyond l lovely. Perfectly curated and superbly managed and hosted by the amazing Savanna.I have never found more of selection of tinned fishes and seafood ? ?in my entire life. This place is a a hidden gem right in the breather path. Stop in and ask for Savanna, you won’t be sorry! Thanks For the decadent experiences Botanist and Barrel!Loyally local, Georg and Miranda-❤️
Amazing cider!
"less is more" cider- interesting taste. I love this hidden gem. Plenty of outdoor seating and igloo rental. Will definitely be back in the spring to try out their other goodies.
We had a great visit to the igloos. The cider and snacks were incredible!

Good place if you have money to blow on $18-$27 flights and $9 ciders. Not the best in winter as it is primarily outdoors. Little hosting to know what to do and how to enjoy yourself there. Can be a turn off to first timers, otherwise the environment can be good for those who have money and can come regularly. Be hard to catch a buzz under $40. $25 for one sider and a half poured glass of wine. Trees need trimmed so you can safely leave.
Great spot for slow vibes, small snacks and good wine or ciders. I ordered the cider flight and the service knew what to pick for me. The charcuterie board does not disappoint. Mellow background music.

Met a neat couple from Connecticut. On an adventure..
I've driven past this location so many times and never stopped. I'm glad that changed today. This is truly a hidden gem just a 30 minute drive from Danville, VA. I was there for the NC Fermentation festival. The weather was awful and they had lost power but they took everything in stride. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I look forward to making the drive down again.
