“Savanna is the most amazing customer service centric person I have EVER encountered in the service industry in all of my food/wine/beverage experienced hands down.This young gal performs like a vested owner, speaks and relates to clients like a true trained professional that actually care about your experience in this establishment.The most amazing handcrafted beverage maker and beyond an expert when it comes to tinned fish.The selection of wine, cider, beer and so much more!!This is our 3rd trip in 2 months and this will be our go to local stop due all of the listed and especially Savanna!The environment is intoxicating and beyond l lovely. Perfectly curated and superbly managed and hosted by the amazing Savanna.I have never found more of selection of tinned fishes and seafood ? ?in my entire life.This place is a a hidden gem right in the breather path. “The food here is amazing!! The chef truly LOVE his craft, I mean, hand made kettle chips?! Please be patient with the man though, he is alone in his operations ? it's hard to find good and qualifying employees, and even harder to keep good people. So wait varies, but he tries SO HARD!!”

“The Habit is an amazing coffee spot. Their menu has enough variety to keep you interested without being overwhelmed. They also have seasonal menus that are updated regularly. Their baked goods go well with the coffee, and if you like their blends, you can take them home with you, blended or whole bean. I've been going to The Habit for a few years now and every single cup I've ever had has been great.Consistent, flavorful, and welcoming are the three words I'd use for The Habit. You should try it too.”

“Eno River brewing has amazing craft beers and a great open setting down by the Eno River with plenty of space for families to hang out and enjoy the day. I love the fact that they are dog friendly and welcome you bringing your furry friend.I have never had a bad experience at Eno River brewing since they opened and I hope that you know rubber brewing continues to exist for many years to come as it is a unique spot in Hillsborough, North Carolina that this town was sorely needing.”

“Went Saturday afternoon to try this new place. We all got rolled ice cream! 3 coffee , 1 strawberry banana and Piña colada (was the best)All for about $50! Not a bad place at all and totally recommend! We will return to try more !!”

“Filament is the best coffee shop I have ever been to! Not only is their coffee top notch, they are always extremely friendly, helpful, and there is a cute, reasonably priced gift section. I will say the interior can get a bit cramped, but it is beautifully decorated and there is a variety of seating arrangements available. If you go, make sure to try something with the filament spice! My favorite is the pumpkin filament in the fall (and I'm usually not a big pumpkin spice fan)... takes just like a more spice-based pumpkin pie. None of the drinks taste fake or too sugary (probably because they make their own syrup). I cannot recommend highly enough!”

“After driving by this place twice a week for the last 6 months for my job I decided to take some time and park and go in. What a delight! Nice people, great selection of Records, good beer. The people in there ranged in age from mid 20s up into late 50s, so didn't feel out of place even though I'm a bit older. I'm quite knowledgeable about music mainly from the 50s through the 90s, Rock and roll, blues, jazz. They had it all and much more. Many things I never heard of that looked interesting.. They even had some records that I wanted and I wound up spending about 50 bucks on records and had a great beer and a good talk with the owner. I'll be back in this time I'll bring a gal pal.”

“Hyperion Bar and Lounge is a quaint establishment in a surprising spot. The signature drinks were unique and well-crafted. The bartender was knowledgeable. Atmospherically, the place is cozy. There were plenty of interesting trinkets and artwork to look at while enjoying a tasty beverage.”

“We had Lou’s make our wedding cake. We chose chocolate cake with the custard filling and OMG it was so good. We got a 9in first tier and 6in for the top. It was about $120. I don’t have my pictures back yet, but it looked as we described and it was delivered (on time), and the venue was about an hour away!! It was simple just icing and some florals. They even helped set up my dessert table, which wasn’t even bought from the bakery (balling on a budget). Unfortunately we didn’t get any of our own cake, but all the guests said it was the best they’ve ever tasted. We went in for a cake testing and were offered 6 types of cake of our choosing (cake and fillings). The woman that sat with us was very friendly and kind. 1000/10. The bite that we smushed on each others faces, was very yummy and far from dry. I am demanding my husband to get me a cupcake with that flavoring.”

“You know, I've been to a lot of places that serve Wings and Hot Wings. Let me tell you... They serve the Best Scorpion Pepper Hot wings. They are off the charts Hot. True taste and flavor of the mighty scorpion pepper. Now, if you're not into the Hot wings thing, they have a menu full of amazing local favorites. I highly recommend you stop in for lunch sometime. Just Remember, Watch out for those Scorpion Pepper Wings, they Have a Decent Bite to them.”

“We were visiting downtown Mebane and exploring the local shops and were looking for something sweet as we enjoyed the beautiful afternoon. My wife looked to our Yelp bookmarks and found we were very close to Muffins so we decided to stop in. We started to explore the flavor options while the woman behind the counter helped another customer. I didn't want any ice cream but the rest of our party did and they all quickly decided to sample the banana pudding ice cream. They each loved it and all decided to order one scoop each on the freshly made waffle cones that were literally being made as we were there. Muffins features local ice cream by Maple View Farm in Hillsborough and it is delicious. Absolutely worth stopping at if visiting or driving by Mebane. Yum!”

“There are a couple of pictures here of this cheeseburger. If the camera adds 10 pounds, it would still be understating what I encountered here. This pretty burger has to be over a pound. Comes with a knife. The reason for the knife should be obvious unless that burger has caught you in its gaze as this one did me. I ate it. I ate it all. My children with me were concerned for me. This burger is where tall tales come from and everyone in that place but me knew it. I'll be back and I'll use the knife next time to take half of this beautiful baby home. Service was great. There are many different things on the menu that I want to try after I recover. Nice folks.”

“Since the new owner took over, there have been some good and some bad. Good is that there is now real table service with wait staff coming to your table take your order. The bad is the wonderful Portuguese decor is gone and replaced by bland stuff. The food is what you would expect for the price range, and what you get is plenty good. All and all, it was a pleasant dinner with no frills.”

“If you don't mind the service usually being a bit hurried as they usually have a surplus of customers during dinner hours, the food is actually super good if you like NC style BBQ! Ambience is as "big BBQ place" as it gets tho.”

“Met a friend for drinks there. I had no idea they hold Open Mic night. Nice atmosphere, and plenty of people but not too crowded. They have outside seating available as well. Nice spot on King Street, that is a short walk from a couple of different parking areas.”

“I loved this place! We were greeted and served very quickly. I ordered a cucumber and jalapeño margarita, which was great. The chorizo tacos were some of the best I've had! The flavor of the chorizo was bold as I like,and the sour cream on top created a nice balance of flavors. The Chorizo was not too soft, not too crunchy, although I do prefer somewhere in the middle! I was full off of 2 and a half.”

“I was in town for work and did a quick google search and this place caught my attention. I love to support local family owned businesses. We walked into place and it is definitely nothing to write home about. It actually made me a little skeptical.. We ordered at the counter and I ordered the 2 piece combo with Collard Greens and Mac n Cheese. I also wanted to try Onion Rings and Hush Puppies as I am a sucker for both. Well the food was amazing! The chicken was tasty and perfect. The biscuit was outstanding. If you don't like their biscuits, then you ain't from the south. The Hush Puppies and Onion Rings were good. I was disappointed in the Mac N Cheese however. I could not even eat it and I love Mac n Cheese. Overall I was very impressed and will eat there again when I am back it town. Great job Jay! You should be proud.”

“This quaint little almost hidden away eatery has been delicious and consistent for all it's years, more than 25 I think! Mandatory if you love Hillsborough.”

“Artisan bakery and coffee/tea house with lovely employees and a lovely vibe. Pastry’s are a level up from many triangle bakers; They are made with quality ingredients and the pastry skills are there. Kim’s can by no means compete with the Owl bakerys, Hole Donuts or Bolted Breads of North Carolina. Flavors are punchy and interesting but not quite in balance. I’m glad Kim’s isn’t afraid of a little bit of sourness, tartness or bitterness in their baked goods. But the harmony of Ingredients isn’t perfect. With a little tweeting Kim’s could get there. Tea cakes are extremely moist. Danishes are flaky. And finally someone in this area is serving a cardamom bun! I’m seeing a lot of potential. With a few more years of practice and experimentation Kim’s may start producing baked goods that people go out their way for. In the meantime, if you’re in the area stop in for a delicious treat and great cup of coffee.”
