It's not about the atmosphere, it's about the food and Bogue House doesn't disappoint. Had a delicious flounder platter with equally tasty sides of collards, mac & cheese, and okra. Also found the staff friendly and welcoming.

Very small environment basically sitting back to back with other customers while eating the fried shrimp was not good, upon returning home, my son stomach was hurting very bad. Running to the bathroom. I myself vomited very bad along with my two year-old daughter will never come back here again.

Just not enough tables to eat at. But the pick up is worth it .
Tasty food great for take out! The 2 shrimp and fish for $22 is a great deal. Fish is so fresh and tasty!

We live in the area and have been to this establishment a few times but one occasion at the height of the Covid craze stopped us from ever going back. This restaurant is very small with an open dining room. You walk inside and order your food at the counter and have a seat at a table. On our last visit I entered the restaurant with our small daughter and approached the counter to order and was immediately scolded by the young lady behind the counter for not wearing a mask and refused to serve me unless I put a mask on. Keep in mind that I am surrounded by people sitting at tables with no mask just 5 feet away. Fortunately this hole in the wall was one of the only places in the area that lost their marbles and acted unreasonably in our area. The place is usually empty so you shouldn’t have to wait long for your food.
