Cappuccinos were very good. However, the croissant was stale and not enjoyable. I kindly let the barista know and while she was apologetic she replied by Thursday the baked goods aren’t as fresh… wish she would have advised that before we spent 4.50 on the croissant that we were not able to eat. Would stop again just for the coffee while visiting from out of town.

Good coffee, quick, nice space, nice staff, good wifi. My go-to Franklin St cafe. The drip coffee is quite good, and you get a refill for dine-in drip coffee, which is nice. I think they need to keep the coffee a few degrees hotter. The espresso drinks are good too. Everything comes out fast even when they're busy. The coffee is better and faster than at Epilogue.1922 is popular with students, so it's often hard to get a seat. So, meeting people here can be risky because you might not get a table. Generally easier to get a table at Epilogue. The breakfast burritos are excellent.

This coffee shop is very close to campus, and has lots of outlets available for guests working on their laptops but is not a good deal for lunch. I got a caprese sandwich for $11 and it didn't come with chips or anything except the smallest salad/ garnish, and it was on a really sweet white bread. I think I'll stick to drinks here rather than food with so many other places that cater to students nearby.

Atmosphere: 1922 is a cozy cafe on Franklin Street, conveniently located next to UNC's campus. There are plenty of tables inside, serving as a reliable spot for a study session or coffee with friends. However, be wary that the cafe can fill up especially around undergraduate exam seasons. Service: The baristas are kind, and our drinks have always come out quickly! Food: We've tried their Hot and Iced Raspberry Lattes, as well as their seasonal Peppermint Mocha. Both their hot and iced lattes maintained a perfect level of flavor without overpowering the espresso. Their peppermint mocha was a bit sweet for our liking, but it was a great drink for getting into the holiday spirit! Overall: 1922 has both traits of an ideal coffee shop -- good ambiance and good coffee. Their longer hours during the academic year are convenient for students to hunker down for longer study sessions. We'd highly recommend 1922 and are looking forward to returning!

The drinks were solid. The cinnamon bun I had left a lot to be desired.

We enjoyed an iced mocha, a hot lavender latte and a chocolate chip scone here. The scone was particularly soft unlike what most places serve, which was nice.

1922 is an awesome spot!!!The atmosphere and storefront had an excellent design and feels very classic east coast. The interior has an array of seating and feels comfortable regardless of where you are.I have yet to try any food items but the coffee is spot on. I enjoy mainly iced coffee and 1922 has a variety of homemade syrups. The Tar Heel Lattee and Iced Caramel Latte are both legit. The pricing here is reasonable and significantly cheaper than Starbucks.Vegetarian options: They have many vegan/veg options.
