Loved the red curry with chicken! Would like to have more options in cocktails.

I have had the most delicious meals here, with fresh vegetables and proteins, skillfully made sauces, and delicately flavored desserts (oh, their coconut cake is one of my favorite desserts!). Come here for an fresh, skillfully executed meal in a laid back, welcoming atmosphere. One of my favorites when I want a healthier night out!

Randomly stumbled upon this place night as we happened to be in the area and we loved it! We were seated right away, had friendly service, place was clean and decorated and food was delicious! Definitely want to come back and try more things!

Ive lived in Thailand so my expectations are always quite high. This place was ok, nothing special. I find the use of the “ghost pepper” for levels 3-5 to be an extremely strange choice and not very THAI at all. It should be Thai chillis in order to taste like authentic Thai cuisine and allows the spice levels to raise in a more nuanced way — they obviously get complaints since i was warned that there would be NO REFUNDS when i only asked for level 3. The waitress was the least friendly Thai person i have met in a loooong time. Gives angry attitude for no reason at all.

Very good Thai some of the best we’ve had in the area. Atmosphere and quick service make this a 5-star place for us.
Came for lunch and were seated within 5 min. The service was friendly and quick. However, the food was average at best. We were not asked about the spice level and all dishes were quite bland. The place seems to be popular and I'd be happy to give it another try. As of now, I wouldn't recommend it.

Restaurantji Recommends
The waitress was soo rude. She had no patience and she talked very rudely to us when we told her our specifications for the food we ordered. They also messed up our order and gave us fried rice that was extremely spicy when we asked for no spice. Then, when we tried to send it back, the waitress gave us attitude and said that’s what we asked for - when we didn’t! Another waitress kept coming to our table when we were eating and kept asking us for to-go boxes when we weren’t even finished eating. She kept rushing us and we felt extremely uncomfortable. The service was horrible and when we told them, they weren’t even apologetic about it. I do not recommend this place for their food or their service!

This is a cute little family friendly neighborhood eatery. I went in for their lunch specials. Their lunch specials are popular and the restaurant was quite busy at lunch time (I went in around 12.30 pm) with only a couple tables available. The ambience is really nice. Nothing over the top, but really calming and relaxing. The menu has a range of traditional thai street food and entre options. The food was very good. I tried the lunch special masaman curry and thai red curry. The lunch specials come with a choice of soup or salad. I chose the chicken clear soup which was really light and refreshing for a hot summer afternoon and really teased my appetite for the main course. I loved the thin glass noodles in the soup. The curries were great too. Just the right amount for one person for a lunch portion for me. The curries were pretty flavorful. Next time I will ask them if they can make mine a little less sweet so that I can taste the spices a little more. This is just my personal palate preference. The one thing that I would recommend though is that the chicken could be a little more succulent. In both curries the chicken felt a little rubbery. But this is a very tiny thing. I greatly enjoyed the food and will keep returning. There is ample parking available in the adjoining huge parking lot. There is also a gotriangle bus stop served by route 800 right next to the restaurant.

Disappointing. Steamed dumplings and seafood special were very bland. Seafood quality wasn't terrible but wasn't great. Breaded fish in a soupy sauce is not great. Only 4 dumplings in the order. Rice was dry.

Bangkok 54 has long been one of my favorite dining spots, but unfortunately, my recent takeout experience was disappointing due to repeated service errors.
I placed a takeout order for chicken pad Thai with shrimp, specifically requesting no peanuts. However, the order was incorrect three separate times. The first delivery included beef and shrimp instead of chicken. The second attempt had the correct proteins, but still included peanuts. On the third try, although I finally received the chicken and shrimp combination, one of the dishes once again contained peanuts—despite the clear request to omit them.
I'm not sure what went wrong this evening, but given the repeated mistakes, I'll likely be taking a break from Bangkok 54 for awhile.
