Great local area hang out. TVs with soccer are available. Large tables for board games. Digital pour has live draft beer list online and on site. Untappd list is also available and updated. Great diverse draft beer selection along with refrigerated can and bottles. Diverse beer selection.

Friendliest bar in Chapel Hill. So much talent behind that bar. Pro tip- ask them to do a trick or sing you a song while the bartender serves you a drink!Kid-friendliness: Bring your kids! Or even someone else’s kids.

I’ve been a fan of Beer Study since their first location. The new location still has the same great beer selection, but is roomier.

A different vibe completely but awesome all the same. Great selection of beers and a super place to chill with friends to play board games and/or watch a cool movie. Located by IP3 on Franklin St.

Beer Study does a good job of serving a spot Chapel Hill severely lacks: a chill bar for locals with a solid selection of local beers you can't find everywhere else. I only wish they more often served Burial on tap. They are North Carolina's god tier brewery in my opinion. Beer Study will occasionally (rarely in my experience) have Burial beers, but I'd love to see multiple varieties with more regularity like they do with other local breweries. Otherwise I dig this place.

I was looking for a place to meet up with grad school friends to study hard - and after, hardly study! Beer study was the perfect place for us to go - no one would judge you if you came to chat with friends, play games, or study. They have plenty of tables and unique beers to keep you satisfied for whatever you're looking for. The only drawback was that I had trouble connecting to wifi. I had to try ~5 times to connect, and it eventually worked without any other interruptions. Also - if you get lost, use Google Maps (Apple Maps directed me to the wrong building, but this store is in fact on Franklin St, not N Graham St)

A very welcoming and chill environment. The staff know their products well and have perfect recommendations based on your taste. 5 stars.

Very confused by the branding of this spot. When they moved, they added The Boot Room brand to the storefront like their Durham location, but don’t appear to want to have anything to do with soccer. They aren’t open until noon, so you miss a lot of the games. They don’t have staff even walking in until noon, so we sat outside waiting for awhile. Maybe I’m old school but a spot opening at noon should have staff opening the place at 11:30. When we got inside the person working was asked why no soccer games were playing, and he said “I don’t know, these people need to tell me what they want to watch.” I get it, but if you’re branding yourself as a soccer bar you need to inform your staff on what games are on. If you’re going to open at noon, at the VERY least you need to have the games of the day on when folks walk in. They have a lot of work to do if they want to attract Chapel Hill soccer fans the way they do Durham soccer fans. It’s also pitch black inside? Everyone walking in to watch the soccer games was disappointed and confused.
