Not sure what happened to this place but it has really gone downhill. There is absolutely zero upkeep to the interior and frankly, it’s pretty gross inside.

The seats in every booth are ripped, the walls are all damaged with torn fabric or insulation and the ledge next to every booth is filthy as if it hasn't been cleaned.

The food is decent, but the unkempt atmosphere takes away from everything else. My family and friends won't be back......

Food is hit and miss, but generally on the decent side. The staff either doesn't speak English or are rude and unhelpful.

The food is mediocre for a local diner. I don’t feel the cost justifies the quality.

Burned, rubbery pancakes. Undercooked potatoes. Ripped, cracked seats. Unfriendly, uncaring staff.

Staff has a perpetual frown on their faces…almost like they’re being forced to work. Get out of the hospitality industry if all you can contribute is a frown

Shame, shame shame!!! From the moment we walked in we were not greeted at all. The young girl and other guy at the seem kind of bothered we were at the door, the male didn’t even said his name while walking us to the table, he just put the menus on the table and went about his day. Our waiter was a young kid extremely rude, didn’t introduce himself and was kind of in a rush while taking the order… like what the heck? Spoke kind of rudely to my husband while he was trying to understand the huge menu the have. In conclusion we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome we end up leaving to a different restaurant. Shame this place has been opened for so long and this is the treatment their guest get.

Super delicious and the staff was so accommodating when I requested substitutes in my meal. They were so busy (there will almost always be a wait in the morning) because the food is so good, but the service was quick and the staff is extremely kind.

Love the food here but best to not go when no tables as they require customers to wait outside “in your car” until a seat is available. Even if there is no line are current wait. When I explained that this is unusual requirement they said this is just the rule.

I was a little disappointed as I was told that this was a local favorite. The decor is local sports team but haven't been updated since the 90s. Frozen in time. The bankette we were seated had ripped cushions that were taped over. The staff were accommodating and not intrusive. My partner ordered corned beef hash with eggs and biscuit. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash was not salty but nothing to write home about. The biscuit lacked laminations and was dry more like an English muffin. I had eggs over easy with toast, sausage and grits. Again the eggs were cooked perfectly. The grits were watery and tastless. the sausage was cooked correctly but lacked any flavor. It was just OK but I don't know if I'd come back again.

Not my favorite in the area… I don’t think the food is very good, and in my experience, the service has been subpar. I know it’s a Chapel Hill staple… But I’m not sure why. Pancakes, fall flat, eggs are way too greasy… The meat is overdone.

I have mixed emotions about this place. The food is decent, but the staff are surly! No smile from the hostess. The server was inconvenienced to be working. There doesn’t seem to be a manager. It is sad because Chapel Hill doesn’t have many breakfast options. Oh, and they charge 3% if you use a credit card. I say that credit card fees are the price the owner should pay for having a business.
