I've been to the food hall location somewhere in Raleigh, but this was my first time at the Chapel Hill location. I was there the Saturday before NYE and the place was empty. It was very clean and inviting. I got the California box again because I really like the flavor and mix of ingredients. For the price, it looks like a small portion. But it was very filling. It tasted fine, just a little blah. I'm not sure if it's because I was the only customer so maybe the ingredients had been sitting unstirred for a while, but it didn't give me that, "wow this is amazing!" feeling like in Raleigh. The tofu could've been a bit fresher maybe.

The food is very bad for the price. Not worth it at all. Upcharge for any actual poke ingredients like fish.

for $17, the food was okay — ingredients were fresh, service friendly. I tried the katsu chicken; I’ll probably go back to try their red curry or bi bim bop bowl.

I have never eaten at their restaurant, so I couldn't leave any stars for the atmosphere. However, we ordered catering from Bul Box twice now for a big group meetings, and both times, it was a HUGE hit with everyone. We are a diverse group, some with dietary restrictions, and the Bul Box catering had many choices for everyone. Also I love the catering boxes and containers they come in. Great presentation, great food, and Bul Box is now our go-to catering spot! Huge kudos to Sherwood at Bul Box in Chapel Hill for helping us with our orders!Dietary restrictions: We have vegetarians, vegans, non-dairy, and people with food allergies in our group and there were enough choices to make great bowls for everyone!

Amazing flavor, especially Tokyo !!!It requires 85 characters but I don't know why. I think the Seoul is also amazing but less than Tokyo.

Love this place!! I've been here about 3 times, and I always get the Seoul bowl. Too good!! I really should try something else though. It has bulgogi beef, a fried egg, cabbage slaw, kimchi, kale mix, carrots, and a base of your choosing (+gochujang sauce!). The one thing I'm disappointed about is that they got rid of the eggplant... to be honest, the eggplants were the stand out star of the meal!! Also, I don't like is how inconsistent the bowls are; it's different everytime I get it, but it's probably just depends on whose making it. They have a lot of new things on the menu though, such as the katsu sandwiches, loaded fries, and a katsu box! Will be coming back to try those goodies for sure.

Great food but they are veryyyyyy skimpy on their protein. It’s also VERY expensive which would be fine if you got an adequate amount of food.

I thought the food overall was decent. There is nothing too special but definitely a safe option if you want something filling and relatively healthy. I ordered pickup and they had it ready even earlier before the actual time. There also weren't that many people in there surprisingly. It's quick and easy for sure :) Would def come back and try some new things on their menu.

Ordered the Bangkok curry, Thai bowl, & bulgogi fries from door dash for reference. Flavor was amazing & great quantity! Only thing that was disappointing was not much sauce on these dishes (even the curry). Ended up with a lot of white rice at the bottom of the bowl. Will definitely be ordering extra sauce in the future!

The portion size was a bit smaller than a similar bowl from Roots, but it was still really good! The ingredients are high-quality and well-cooked and seasoned, and I loved the sauce! The service was fast and nice too!

I've been to other locations before, glad they are finally in CH. Nice interior and friendly service. I built my own bowl but might go with one their signature boxes. I had mine with Thai chicken, jalapeños and gochujang, flavorful and nicely spicy.

Updated:I’ve been eating here almost everyday for some time and the quality was overall good. However, today they don’t have 25% off anymore but still have the 25%off sign at the entrance which was very confusing (and I would say this is a scam). I don’t mind paying extra but they don’t have eggplant today and the broccoli and cherry tomatoes are all frozen I’m very disappointed at this(I mean you should at least maintain your quality and portion).Original review:The price is reasonable with 25%off, bulkogi beef is one of the most authentic I’ve ever had here, but Seoul bowl is way too spicy for me
