Let me just say... the strawberry shortcakeis the very, very best I have ever tasted! Shortbread is the heart and soul of this recipe, and this one is like nothing you've ever tasted. The biggest bite of delicious you will ever consume.I am picky having lived in NYC and CA. It doesn't get any betterthan this. The recipe is from a famous baker and restaurateur in Manhattan. Please keep this on the menu forever!!!

First time dining in at Capp’s, and likely the last. Let me start out saying the margarita pizza was very good and we enjoyed it, but everything else was lacking. We were seated right away and the server was very attentive. We placed our order, received our pizza and that’s where “service” ended. We tried to flag him down for several minutes to ask for a side of marinara sauce. This look a while since his priority was clearly attending to all of the takeout orders. Once requested, after 15 minutes we still had not received the sauce and had to ask again. At that point we were almost done with our pizza. When we received our bill we discovered it was a $3 charge for less than a half cup of sauce. We may consider placing a takeaway order at some point, but for dining in, there are many better options.

I got the Chicken and Pasta dish and my mom and sister got pizza. Got the garlic knots which were outstanding. Fun place! Great food. The pizza was a little too done for my mom. But my sister liked it that way. My mom and I like to eat the crust.
Used to be a great place, even slightly upscale.Now seems to be on the decline.Service is messy and not consistent at all, waited an hour to get our proper order in.Food is generally good.

CHECK YOUR BILL - Since moving to the area our family has been a regular customer of Capps. The food is excellent, the staff is kind and we like supporting local businesses. Our once weekly take out order is almost always over $100.00, before tax & gratuity. I was absolutely shocked to see ~$19.00 large party fee (for a family of 4) on our last order. When I asked about it I was told it was a large party fee for orders over $100.00. Say that out loud… I’m being charged a fee for ordering over $100.00 in food. Given how high their prices are already you would think the cost of doing business was already built in. That’s just plain bad business. Capps is essentially saying they don’t want my $100+ order any longer.

Very upset, We ordered 3 pizzas and 3 small pizzas for carry out and was charged a large order fee of 25.00!!! Then when we paid the guy a tip on top of it. No one told us of this policy, and were not helpful when we called to point out the overcharge. This is poor business practice and a rip off!! Won’t be going back!!

Our first visit. Recommended by friends and we are so glad we tried it. Pizza were delicious. Salad as well. Server was attentive. Loved the vibe. I can see that they do good amount of carry out as well. Definitely want to come back & try other items.
