What we got instead was some of the nastiest, most miserable energy I’ve ever felt from a worker. First off, I get that people have bad days — we’re all human. But if your attitude is that disgusting, do everyone a favor and just call out. Nobody wants to be served by someone who clearly hates being there.
What made it worse is that there was a sweet Black girl working who was clearly doing her best to keep things running. She came out of the bathroom, noticed DoorDash drivers waiting, and jumped in to help — and the white girl behind the counter had the absolute worst attitude about it. Like, seriously? You’re mad because someone’s helping?
Then, when that same rude worker came to help us, the vibe was just off. Cold, dismissive, like we were bothering her just by existing. She made our ice cream but didn’t even bother to check us out. We were literally standing there for 10 minutes while my ice cream melted. The Black girl, again being the only professional one there, came over and finally rang us up — the only reason I even tipped.
I genuinely feel bad for her. She deserves better than to be paired with someone with such a nasty spirit. Cold Stone, do better. You’re lucky she was working, or this would’ve been a complete waste of time and money.
