Family stayed at hotel and we decided to dine in as we were exhausted and menu and ambiance looked good. Two apps: pimento cheese and lamb sliders. Lamb was this side of shoe leather. Homemade tagliatelle add chicken for $38, fresh grouper catch for $54, kids burgers for dinner and a crème brûlée for dessert. The pimento cheese was the best thing we had by a long shot. Grouper had the odor that one has when it’s not fresh - we eat a lot of it - and tagliatelle was still doughy. Wine and cocktails were grossly overpriced compared to any 5 star we patronize. $15 for single pour (shot not jigger) of Bulliet Bourbon?! I can buy a fifth of it for that! $390 all in after tip - a complete joke.
Very mid at best. Prices itself as a fine dining restaurant and it isn’t. Food is below average, wines are awful and it’s just ok. But they price it as it’s a Michelin star.
An absolute gem! The restaurant is set in a beautiful, historic hotel and the food is incredible. So many great dishes - pimento cheese app, burrata salad, biscuits, oysters - it’s all amazing. The halibut dinner was absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to visit again.

I find this location is underrated with 4.1. the quality of the food is really good. We had breakfast and went for a dessert after our dinner. We also had cocktails.
We found the staff extremely nice. And the food was of highest quality.

I don’t understand why more people in Chapel Hill don’t go here for dinner because it’s great. You don’t have to be a hotel guest. Zu is the server. Great job. Food is fantastic. Cocktails are perfect. Lovely atmosphere. Great little Carolina themed gift shop. Support this little piece of Blue Heaven!
Went in for a quick nightcap, ended up staying til close. Thank you Ethan for making us want to stay out with great conversation (and thanks to his amazing espresso martinis for their help!). His bar manager (forgot to ask his name) also made our night very memorable. Great staff at the bar Friday nights!
This is an upscale restaurant inside of a hotel called "The Carolina Inn," which sits inside of the U. of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. The menu offers great selections with variety from appetizers to desserts and wines. And based on my experience, you will not go wrong with any items. My first time there, picked up some items from the menu. After discussing with the waitress and ended up having a completely different order from appetizer and main entree, and were pleased with the taste, and good food quality. A pleasant and delightful dining experience. Great foods. The waitress, Aziza, had a great attitude, practice active listening well, and based on that, she made excellent suggestions to up the dining experience to another level. She also came back to check in throughout the entire dining process to ensure I had what I needed and things were to my liking, very attentive and professionally done. The drawback was there were two TV monitors, at first, showing sports events, but one of the TV showed a brief clip of commercial about two guys using toilets, that was not appropriate, which is why I take a star off. Had this not there, it would have been a 5 out of 5. They would have shown different TV channels or turn off the TVs. This restaurant was just as good as many fine dining in big cities like NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, or Houston, etc.
Great food, fun bar area, and friendly service throughout.

We decided to go to Crossroads for our anniversary dinner. The food and service was excellent. The red snapper and she crab soup was a hit. The seasonal grilled peach and bourbon ice cream was outstanding. We had a wonderful dinner. Highly recommend.

If you’re familiar with the Sunday brunch Crossroads served years ago that was fabulous, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Nothing out of the ordinary offered here - egg, bacon, lumpy grits, some basic salads, breads, and dessert. Gone are the carving stations, the unique and superbly delicious desserts, the innovative side items, the fabulous salads. In addition, the food ranges from ok - bad. After the second year of this we’ll be moving our annual family brunch elsewhere.
The experience here was fantastic! Such a classic location and the food is so good!
All of the hospitality and charm of Chapel Hill come together in this restaurant on the beautiful Carolina Inn property. It’s casual, yet sophisticated. If you’re new to Chapel Hill, and perhaps visiting your student, make sure you dine at crossroads and try some of the south’s delicacies including the pimento cheese and deviled eggs. You will not be disappointed!
If you are not staying at the hotel, don't bother. Mediocre food. Slow service.
I love this place. Reservation recommended.
