“This is an absolute gem of a restaurant, and our family’s favorite recent find. They have a nice selection of southern favorites. All of the food I’ve tried there has been fresh and tasty. The fried catfish I had was particularly excellent, piping hot and really delicious. My wife really enjoyed the fried chicken, and the burgers were a huge hit with our kids. Even the fries that came with the burgers were nicely crispy. Overall, it feels like they put a lot of love and care into their food! I highly recommend this place!“

“Always get custom birthday cakes for my kids here. I ask them if they want to try something different each year, but the answer is always no — Cold Stone Ice Cream Cake! The cake has been great every time. On the rare occasion there has been a mistake, the owner has immediately swooped in to fix any issue herself! You can tell customer service is her #1 priority without question.“

“Because my family has wildly different tastes in cakes and desserts, we usually get a selection of cupcakes for birthday celebrations. I found Bull City Bake Shop through Google Maps and was able to place an order through their website in the early morning to be picked up half an hour after they opened.

The cupcakes were ready for us when we got there and my husband noticed some banana puddings in the display case. My family enjoyed every single cupcake flavor and my dad was very impressed with the banana pudding and its made-from-scratch flavors. HIGHLY recommended.

We will be coming back.

ETA: apparently I cannot leave a second review, so I will state here that I had another fabulous experience with Bull City Bake Shop. I needed to order cupcakes for a baby shower with a punk rock theme, and going in had the idea of basic cupcakes with black icing and such. The bakers explained what a bad idea black icing can be, as it leaves stains on the teeth for days, and worked with me to add decorations that blended with the theme (see photo). Everyone at the party raved about how good the cupcakes were. Bull City Bake Shop will continue to have my business at every opportunity.“
