Matcha and lattes are quite watery. Fills up real tight on weekends. Book selection is very social-justice oriented, hard to find science, business or modern psych books. Even bestselling fiction books like "Lessons in Chemistry" don't make their shelves. Churos were stale last time I had them.

Wonderful little bookshop and coffee place with a fun Mexican flair. The churros and Mexican chocolate and horchata latte were all nice touches. I'll absolutely be back when I have more time to browse!

Good coffee...strong, in real ceramic cups. Felt out of place being an old straight white male, but I escaped without harm.Parking: No good parking in Chapel Hill

Almost a year ago now, we lost the one queer cafe in Sanford. And so, I drove all the way up here today to escape the confederate flags. I must say, 50+ miles, $2 to park, and $10 for a coffee/treat was SOOO worth it. Once they took my order and I sat down with my little pager, I nearly cried...Everyone was so... gay. :')Couldn't afford to buy a book, but I walked through and took photos of the ones that interested me. I only had an hour in my parking spot, so I felt a little rushed. My favorite part is the little summary cards put on some books (as pictured)!! Made my browsing much more efficient. My suggestion: Don't drive into Charlotte! Park as close as you can at a friend's house, then Uber to where you want to actually go. That might be cheaper? At least, then you won't be kept on an arbitrary time table.

This was our first time and we loved it. The Mexican hot chocolate was very sweet. I think my husband and I could have shared one. He likes sweeter chocolate. The cinnamon on top was delicious. We also tried the vegan churros which was our first time trying any churros. They were soft on inside and crunchy on outside. We devoured them. I especially loved being surrounded by books. It had a lovely feel, was a quiet place to study or hang out with friends or family.Dietary restrictions: They offered vegan options.

Got an iced latte with the vanilla chai syrup and it was delicious!!
I think it’s dystopian you cannot even sit down at any of the tables without purchasing a Cafe item. This is also a bookstore which means people will shop and sit down, look at books, maybe wait while their family member is shopping. It has potential to be a good study spot near the campus. But no, you’re bombarded with multiple stands with papers on every table in them saying you have to purchase a Cafe item to sit down. This is stupid. Also, the fact I saw someone commented that the bathrooms are locked to guests is ridiculous. For a place that claims to be so accepting they sure seem the opposite unless of course you have money.

It’s a cute and quaint place. There’s a large selection of books and lots of seating, which was very full when we were in. The seating and space in general is packed tight together so it’s difficult to navigate at peak times. The coffee was good - a horchata latte and brown sugar vanilla latte shown in picture. Peanut butter cookies were average but the churritos (mini churros) with Dulce de Leche was a great snack!
