I have been to this establishment MANY times since it is so close to the horse barn I ride at on the weekends. Usually, by the time lunch rolls around, my mom and I are quite hungry, and this place never disappoints! I have had many different items from the menu. My mom often gets the ceviche and I one of the burritos. The sweet tea is great, too. This time around I wanted a simple salad, so I ordered the Fiesta Salad. There were big chunks of avocado which I love (you can't have too much avocado imho), tomatoes, cheese, and a hefty serving of lettuce in a taco bowl. I asked for Ranch on the side and I added it in a little for the perfect flavor. The salsa that is given to you when you sit down is never the same; sometimes it's really spicy or it's a little watery with chunks of onion and tomatoes. I don't particularly care for salsa and I usually leave it. Since it is such a popular place, you may be waiting a little while. It's a small restaurant so be prepared to sit outside on a bench or stand inside by the cashier's table.

I was in town for work. Found that this was the only place to get lunch. So we stopped. All 8 tables were full. With two others waiting to be seated. No problem we got ours to go. Noticed most of the customers had their food. I placed my order. Soft taco. Asked for cheese dip to be on top man said “oh no no we don’t do that here” I thought first place I have ever heard that didn’t. Anyways I paid then my co worker placed her order. Just a classic ACP. Some time went by. To go orders were being picked up. Tables were being served. And after about 10 mins I received my order. We waited. And waited. A couple came in, got seated, ordered, received their food, all while we are still standing there waiting on her food. We asked how much longer “it’s coming it’s coming we are busy” I said that’s not the issue when people that came in 15 mins after we did and are eating and we are waiting on a simple ACP. After 35 mins she got her food. We left. Needless to say our lunch was over. We get back to the job site and we have some time to eat. I opened my box. And it was upside down. The soft taco was open on top and everything else was underneath it. Not sure what happened there. I was not given a fork or anything. So I had to eat what I could with my fingers. Of course cold due to waiting on the other order. It wasn’t all that good. Definitely not worth the wait. Maybe this was just an off day. But this was my experience. If I am hungry again I’ll go get a snickers bar at the gas station.

The enchiladas mole are the best in the Triangle, IMO. I'm told the sauce takes three days to make, and the flavor is superior to any others I've tried.

Their salsa has a nice bite to it, although the chips are not to my liking. The ones at most other restaurants in the area are thin, light, and served warm. These are never warm, hard, and borderline overfried.

The owner couldn't be nicer and more cheerful. There's two waitresses, one very nice and welcoming and the other not so much. Between her and the hard chips, if the mole wasn't as outstanding as it is, I wouldn't make the effort to come here.

Good working class, unpretentious and very friendly service. Chile Rellanos are always great with a spinach enchilada.

Salsa comes with chips and is more like Pica De Gallo. .

Ty for all the good years of service and fair priced food.

Vegetarian options: Ask for Chile Rellanos and spinach enchilada combination

This place is a classic, and a local award winner for the 20 years they’ve been open. As it should be! We went again last night. It’s such good food! I got the mole, which is better than anyplace else I’ve ever had it. I go for the mole enchiladas, but you can have mole chicken as well. Everything is good, of course!

Beer was good and cold. Salsa was flavorless and a bit...sour. Chile Colorado was excellent. Chicken Fajitas were flavorless. Guacamole was flavorless.

My dad and I are visiting NC from NH. We were recommended this restaurant by a local and it did not disappoint. Great portion sizes and friendly staff. My dad said he has had authentic Mexican food since he was in Mexico City. I highly recommend going here. The chicken chimichanga is juicy and pairs nicely with the rice as a side. Will definitely be coming back.
