Way better than Purple Bowl!

I really really enjoyed Frutta Bowls!! - It's a bit hard to park, but that's Franklin Street for you. There's a parking garage right behind Frutta Bowls, but you have to pay. Super cheap though, only $1/hour. - Interior is VERY artsy. Lots of cool murals and plenty of seating, which was great. I went with a group of 6 people and we were able to sit together very easily, which isn't always the case. - For the acai bowl itself: I love how many options they have! You can truly customize your bowl with any of the bases (regular acai, protein acai, vegan protein acai, green bowl, etc), any fruits, granola, nut butters, and other toppings. I made my own with a vegan protein acai base, topped with strawberries, kiwi, mango, granola, peanut butter, and chia seeds. I think my favorite part about Frutta Bowls is the many fruit toppings they have - most acai places don't have exotic fruits like kiwi, mango, etc. This was great. The acai was very flavorful and smooth. I think my least favorite part was the granola - the chunks were a bit too large. Other than that, though, no complaints! A great bowl! - Presentation is also quite good if you get it for there. They put a lot of effort into making it look aesthetic for the instagram, which I appreciate! If you get it to go, the lid makes it a bit messy, but that's expected haha. - I also absolutely love how quickly the acai came out. The toppings are kind of like an assembly line. You can see in front of you what the options are, and they put it together right in front of you. For the 6 of us, the acai only took like 5 minutes total! Really really great, especially if you're in a rush. - The staff was INCREDIBLE!! The owner Julian was so nice/patient and answered all of our questions. We all felt so welcomed! Can't wait to return for another acai bowl!!!

These bowls are delicious! They are made fresh but come out quickly. The one down side is that they can get quite high in calories and carbs but the nutrition information is available online so you can manage what you are adding to the bowl to limit your indulgence. Highly recommended and will be back soon.

Pretty good...smoothies are my jam and I needed my fix before cross training. I got the detox, I nice change from usual blueberry banana. It was pretty good, I think... I am still stuck on my favorite....but definitely will return for the bowls

Pricing is a bit odd ($8 for 16z... But hey, it's a cool place)

Frutta bowl is delicious and is the perfect breakfast or lunch spot on a day when you're craving something fruity. I've been a handful of times and always had a good experience. The menu has a lot of options. My favorite are the oatmeal bowls. The oatmeal is hearty and filling, and they still come with açaí. The service has never been great (quick, but no friendly faces), and the açaí is comparable to what I make at home. I avoid getting their granola because it must be the cheapest option they could've chosen. Overall, it's tasty, but not somewhere I frequent regularly.

The bowls are really good if they don't put too much granola. Sometimes they put 2 scoops of granola when there's not much açaí. Also, their hours are very inconsistent. Call before you go.

I think I order at least one açaí bowl a week from here. They're just that good. Great size and great service. I highly suggest downloading the app-- you can easily make an online order and have it ready for pickup. Service is incredibly fast, I always order it on my way there and they always have it ready, I've never waited for them. The quality of the açaí is very good, fruits are fresh and they have great toppings. I personally prefer the taste of their açaí way more than purple bowl. Highly recommend visiting. Haven't tried their smoothies because bowls are my favorite but definitely am going to try other things on their menu

Everything about this little business, the employees, and of course, the products are simply perfect. Chapel Hill cuisine tends to be a bit unhealthy, so this joint offers the perfect getaway from heavy meals. Everything includes fruit so be ready for that fructose sugar rush, but the options to customize with different protein supplements makes this place very appealing to all. The owner is an absolute homie, he tries to remember regulars and then quietly reward them with a free bowl/smoothie coupon after seeing them several times. Love this place

My daughter loves this place. She saw the Tar Heel athlete eating here and we have to get one after every Tar Heel event. We went after the volleyball game yesterday.
