Hawkers Asian Street Food

Today was my husband's and my first time here and the server herself made us want to try it more because of the way she not only greeted us so welcoming however explained and answered every question pertaining to the foods we wanted to try. Madupe' is her name and she's a great asset to the staff here. Before her patience with me I was just gonna stick to what I knew once she finished explaining everything to us with a smile we tried several items and were very pleased. KUDOS to Madupe' We will request her when we return.

Visited Hawkers today for lunch and was told I'd have to wait half an hour for a table or eat at the bar because they were short on servers. There were only 3 tables with diners at the time. My party sat at the bar (on super uncomfortable steel bar stool) for 10 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us before we left. AVOID!

I really loved the atmosphere! Great food, shannon our server was amazing and incredibly friendly, and it all came out in a timely manner. I’ll be coming back!

I had the pleasure of dining at Hawkers recently, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Christina for her exceptional service. From the moment we were seated, she was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. Christina gave great recommendations, made sure our drinks were always topped off, and checked in often without being overbearing.

As for the food, wow! The roti canai was out of this world—fluffy, crispy, and paired perfectly with the curry dipping sauce. It’s a must-try! Christina even made sure we got it right away so we could enjoy it fresh.

If you’re at Hawkers, ask for Christina—you won’t regret it. Amazing service and delicious food all around!

Service and atmosphere is great. My kids were pampered with great portions and many toys to keep them entertained. Food is great but portions are small.

This place is so cool inside with such good food. We went today and Laila, our server, was super cool and helpful. She gave us the best recommendations for food, but also gave us some great ideas that we’ll have to come back to try next time. Everything she recommended was perfect for us and delicious, I loved the sticky ribs. Super great atmosphere with really amazing service. Everything we had was super good!

Take out portion was small for $15 worth of food.

Great casual spot to grab delicious and unpretentious food. Prices are more than reasonable and everything was delicious. Jada was a fantastic server as well. This will be a regular spot for us!

I’ve been to Hawker’s multiple times, and I’ve had a great experience each time. The food and service is excellent. Our server this time, Laila, was busy with multiple tables as well as making drinks behind the bar, and she still had an amazing attitude. She was very nice and very attentive, even with all of the tables and such she was juggling. Will definitely be back!

Great funky Asian street vibe. Music was horrible. Pad Thai 10/10. Bebimbop 5/10, Egg Rolls 10/10, Manhattan 7/10, service 6/10 because they are understaffed like all restaurants these days. Will go back for Pad Thai. Poor parking because Chapel Hill gave all the land to condo developers.
