Ordered hibachi steak and shrimp. The shrimp smelled strongly of low quality shrimp. The steak was ok.
The shrimp tempura roll was terrible. Warm rice, improperly cooked shrimp.
The price displayed online on the google site is not accurate - it is about 50% higher in store.

This place was alright! I would probably go back to try another variation of hibachi- but what I got tonight was nothing special. The rice and veggies were pretty bland. They definitely need the white sauce on top. I got my food to-go which I think is what most people do as there was only one table sitting inside. The eat-in seating was pretty large. The employee taking orders was pretty friendly- that was the only one I interacted with. As far as price the prices are not accurate on their website/Facebook. They are about $3 more than the picture of the menu. My hibachi cost ~$14.
Pros: My food was ready basically the the time I was done paying. The give you a large portion of protein which is really nice. This is especially rare for shrimps!
Overall this place was OK. I would probably give it another try, but definitely will not be top of mind in the future.

My daughter flew in from Colorado and said straight away that she was craving Japan Express! She used to live in Chapel Hill 5 yrs ago. Some great things never change
Awesome spot. Portions size overly gracious I was absolutely impressed with how much they gave me for the price deff recommend if your in chapel hill and like some quick Japanese

Teriyaki chicken box is always a go to. Always good with generous portions. I can’t speak to any other items having never gotten them, but the teriyaki is great.
