We came for Easter brunch with family after church. Delicious and excellent prices for such a nice brunch atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: Very helpful with our 2 toddlers. Quickly provided high chairs, plastic cups for drinks, and were generally friendly to our kids.

I really enjoyed my dinner here last night! This restaurant is located in what used to be an old home and it is cozy and quaint. My waiter was very nice and attentive and my meal was delicious. I tried the scallops and they were some of the best I’ve had along with a delicious salad with candied walnuts and feta cheese. I topped it off with a perfect cappuccino.

Brunch menu items that were worth the money: beignets (YUM), croque madameBrunch menu items that were disappointing: chicken and waffle (worse quality than a Waffle House with syrup in a plastic cup), mimosas (overpriced, underwhelming)Service was good and it’s a pretty restaurant. The actual brunch menu was all crumpled. If you get there around 1-1:10 the kitchen may be closed already, so make sure to go earlier.

Love La Res late nights. I finally made it during daylight hours and can attest that the food is just as good.

Dianne saved my life today. I was choking on my eggs Benedict and she performed the Heimlich maneuver and expertly cleared my airway and let me once again breathe the breath of life. I owe her my life, and anyone who has her should tip her at least 30%, as she is a hero. Thank you

Food wasn't great. Bacon was way overcooked. I live crispy but this was hard. Eggs didn't have much flavor at all. Just bland. The grits however were excellent.Just didn't match the price. Looked awesome but didn't taste great.

First off seating inside was a big no The smell of mildew and mold is overwhelming And being allergic to these we could not sit inside on a very hot day We would have left if we were not meeting friends. V few people here in a once very nice restaurant. Not sure what has happened but it has lost its charm We ate on their v old and I charming patio Food ok but not up to par Service good however So sad for this once loved chapel hill restaurant

My experience at La Residence was a mostly conflicting one -- the beautiful New Orleans-styled walled-in garden patio, charming decor, and exceptional service make for an ideal brunch atmosphere. What brought the experience down was the quality of the meal itself. We had the croque madame, beignets, and the decidedly less French huevos rancheros -- which easily outshined the largely disappointing French options. The croque madame featured a strange grayish roast pork rather than ham. The béchamel was bland and really only served to make the bread soggy and white. The eggs crowning the sandwich were perfectly cooked and pleasant, however. The rest of the food, while inoffensive, wasn't particularly inspiring. On the other hand our waitress, Cameron, was absolutely excellent -- she was attentive, fun, and knowledgeable about the menu. All of that said, I wouldn't necessarily recommend La Residence against the myriad excellent brunch options in the triangle, but isn't at the bottom of my list, either.

Decided to have Brunch here since we were staying at hotel next door. The menu looked good, yelp reviews looked good, & a hotel employee recommended it. So we gave it a try & I hate to say it but our brunch was a major disappointment. The Staff was friendly and attentive but when I say the food was sub par it's not an exaggeration. My wife and I both ordered American breakfast- fairly simple: eggs, meat, potatoes and toast. Both our eggs were severely over cooked, - with my wife's actually being black around the edges. Her bacon was good but cold and my sausage was so over cooked I could barely cut it. It was shriveled up like jerky. We actually would have sent the food back if not for being on a strict time schedule. My son had the French toast which he enjoyed and my daughter had the grits bowl which she also said she enjoyed. The Coffee was very good but served in a tiny cup. You'll need a few refills if you're a morning coffee drinker. I will probably give them one more try when I am back in town, anyone can have a bad day but I am highly skeptical. Lastly, brunch prices are a bit steep. Could probably eat in a diner for half the price . Hope their dinner effort is better, we'll try that next time and update.

Yumm Yumm. WE stopped here on our way home from the beach. It was awesome. We ordered off the Brunch menu, crab Benedict, chicken n waffles, and my daughter ordered the s’mores French toast. Everything was overly delicious and we emptied our plates!
