Yummy food, quick service, and love the fusion aspect! There’s a bar on one side and a restaurant with booths on the other side.

Took my family of 5 here for lunch. Ordered chips and salsa - chips were cold, ran out of salsa in 30 seconds due to there being 5 of us.
Ordered the black bean & chicken tacos- only got beans.
Ordered the poke salmon- lackluster and flavor was weird
Skirt steak tacos were mediocre and tortilla was soggy
Nachos were awful

Absolutely delicious food. Well presented and served quickly. We had a group and they stayed on top of everything we needed. Personally, I recommend the salmon Poké bowl and the green bean appetizer. I have no idea how you’re supposed to eat that thing, but I would eat those green beans with my fingers if necessary.

SIMPLY THE BEST! I absolutely love this unique Mexican-Korean fusion restaurant. Every drink is made to perfection and the food is out of this world. Yummy!!! The menu is packed with so many choices... Excellent location and wonderful customer service! YOU MUST TRY.

We went with a large group and we tried several things. Not one thing wasn’t even slightly mediocre. Vegetarian and GF options available too!

Lucha Tigre is one of our favorite spots in the Chapel Hill area for several reasons...incredible fusion food, great service and excellent ownership. My son (a UNC student) suggested our family and friends try this spot out after he ate there several times and loved it.
Our experiences at Lucha Tigre have been awesome! We've met Khoa Dinh (the friendly owner) who checks on his guests, their food and their experience to ensure everyone's satisfaction. This guy is top-shelf all the way. The serving staff we've had has been attentive, quick and knowledgeable about the menu. If you've ever waited tables, you'll appreciate them.
The menu has some traditional Thai and Mexican fare but most dishes feature some fusion...which is where the magic resides. We've taken two larger groups (6-8 people) each visit and tried most of the tapas items:
Bulgogi Nachos, Heat Seeker Shrimp , Pork Dumplings, Crispy Green Beans, Chipotle-Pepita Guacamole and Chips (don't underestimate). It's ridiculous how good these dishes all are. Our server suggested the Tuna Ceviche Larb which might be the best thing I've had outside of a major city. Simply awesome. Khou even came to our table to help suggest some seasoning for our friend who ordered the Pho.
As an old UNC alum and now a UNC parent, I miss the storied places like The Rat, Linda's (basement), etc. Lucha Tigre has the feeling of authenticity that college town restaurants need. You know its a great place when locals and visitors all eat there.
The ability to reserve tables in advance is also a great service!
Can't wait until our next trip to Chapel Hill so we can explore the menu deeper, enjoy our next experience, and get to see Khoa and his team.

Cute spot for a descent pho, chips and guacamole were a solid starter and the soup was solid. Service was attentive but nothing exceptional. the vibe was more of a bar type than restaurant but fun if you’re coming in for drinks. All and all a solid spot for relaxed food and drinks.

I had an unpleasant experience because I asked for a take-out box for my food multiple times. They finally gave it to me and I accidentally left it on the table for 10 seconds while almost leaving the restaurant. I immediately realized I was going to forget my to-go box but the waiter already threw it away and said nothing to remedy the situation besides “sorry.” (I left the majority of the food in the box). Although the food tasted good, I was not happy about the way this situation was handled.

1. Great food
We Ordered: (recommended) Beef Pho, Street Corn, Spring Rolls, Seaweed Salad, Green Tea, and (recommended) Tacos.
2. Attentive and tuned in waitstaff
(Ideally need to check in a little bit less often during conversations at the table - but no points deducted for making an effort because that’s super respectable stuff to put into your work)
3. Variety and quality at the same time - breaking away from Gordon Ramsay’s popular heuristic general truth that restaurants with too many items or too much variety can’t be trusted. This one can.

Really great experience here. Very nice location, plenty of parking, very pleasant service. I got the Bahn Mi with Beef Bulgogi. The sauce wet the bread a little too much but the flavors were exceptional. I will likely get the pork belly next time. My husband got the Chilaquiles and again the flavors were delightful. That pork belly was incredible. An unexpected star of the show though was the curry mayo. YUM!
Pricing on par with similar restaurants and a great value for the quality of food.
Look forward to going back soon!!

Got take out from Lucha Tigre, and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The Korean BBQ bibimbap was unbelievable, and I will definitely be back to get it again.
