Fantastic! Food was exquisitely prepared, service is excellent, cocktails are unique and sophisticated. I had some pasta which was on point al dente, and the duck breast was cooked to perfection, and balanced appropriately with the root vegetables & puree....definitely a restaurant that is worth frequent visiting if you are a discerning foodie.

Outstanding food, beautiful, upscale atmosphere, and wonderful service. I had seared Alaskan pollock as an entree and Cheerwine budino for dessert. Genuinely, some of the best food I've ever tasted, plated beautifully. The owner even took time to speak with me about the interior design and history of her business, in between running food and clearing plates to help her staff. I make semi-regular trips to Chapel Hill and am already looking forward to returning to Market and Moss for, no doubt, another excellent dinner.

Outstanding food. Fresh, innovative flavors. Served hot and promptly. Peachtree cocktail was the perfect entry to fall weather and pork chop was delicious. I appreciate the kids menu with lots of options. Service was friendly and attentive. And dining on the patio was lovely. All around, an excellent meal served by wonderful staff.
Kid-friendliness: Nice kids menu with pizza, chicken fingers, gnocchi, and small steak. Kids gelato for dessert complete with sprinkles. Staff were kind and welcoming to our kids.

Chef Chuck has outdone himself! Dined at Market and Moss with a girlfriend on Wednesday, July 3rd, and it was a fantastic experience. The patio felt like you were at a Paris bistro, adding a lovely ambiance to the evening. Our server was incredibly attentive and made an excellent suggestion of the Lettuce Wraps, which had the perfect flavors and texture for a hot summer night. We also enjoyed the Burrata & Prosciutto and the Lamb Merguez Flatbread, both of which were delicious.
To celebrate the end of the July 4th weekend, my boyfriend and I had brunch here. The pulled pork eggs benedict was outstanding - the eggs were poached perfectly! And their prime rib French dip sandwich had just the right amount of sweet and tang from the horseradish.
2nd time dining at what I now believe is one of the best restaurants in Chapel Hill. Food was very good, creative and beautifully plated. Good Wine list. Cloth napkins. Waitress was fun, professional and knowledgeable.

I love a restaurant that changes their menu often, and every time I go to Market and Moss, I try something different.I started with, “On Wednesdays we wear Pink” (even though it was Thursday), and it was a sweet very well balanced cocktail. After I ordered it, people at the bar started asking about it, so it’s definitely an eye catcher.If you’re into sweetness and berries, order it.The roasted gnocchi was one of the best pastas I’ve ever had! I loved the sweetness of the butternut squash puree, along with the crunch of the toasted hazelnuts, and the fried sage that just tied the whole dish together. If autumn was a dish, this dish would be it.My second course were the scallops, and after I had the first bite, they just melted in my mouth. As I was devouring the scallops, I was already thinking about my next visit! They were seared perfectly, and the baby carrots were cooked with the right amount of citrus.I ended my dinner with a cup of coffee, and the chocolate chip bread pudding. I am not a bread pudding fan, but I love chocolate, so I decided to give it a try. The big chunks of chocolate, made it easier for me enjoy the bread pudding. The bread was topped with a mint gelato, which was not overpowering at all. The kick of mint made the ideal combo with the bread pudding.

Bad experience. Food took forever. Despite being one of the first in the restaurant, the food came after many tables had already finished their meals. The owner was supposed to come by to discuss but never did. When I tasted the chicken I ordered, I failed to notice the taste (and I didn't have COVID). It was also quite dry. So finally the owner came over and didn't make any accommodations for the crappy service. In fact, she was kind of rude but removed the chicken from the bill. To be honest, I felt badly for the poor chicken. $32 for 1/4 dried out tasteless poultry that didn't deserve to die for that. Anyway, the waitress was sweet but not attentive. First time, last time.
