Not to include the hot meal, delicious seasonings, fantastic sides, and amazing drinks. Monterrey is a staple Mexican restaurant for me and my family, it always will be. Thank you for doing what you do Monterrey, this restaurant will always be in our hearts.

A good spot for a quick lunch. Typical Mexican American fare with great prices. Nothing over the top, but it does the job and was very good. The lunch menu is thorough and service was very fast. The food was also good quality. Definitely a place I will frequent.

this place is amazing, the food is absolutely out of this world! If you want the best, Mexican food in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, come to Monterey Mexican. I got the enchilada Verdes they were great, and I would recommend them to anybody. The service was very quick and all my drinks and food came out in a reasonable time and I would recommend this to anybody.

Monterrey Is one of those places where the food is consistently good, the atmosphere is light and fun, drink options are varied and the prices are right where everyone enjoys themselves. Always a favorite stop when we’re in Chapel Hill.

Arrived during the lunch hour around 12:30p. Not crowed at all. Host accommodated my request to sit near a window. Server arrived promptly to deliver complimentary chips and salsa (chips were well seasoned, hot and fresh out of the fryer). Had the Enchiladas Carnitas topped with a verde sauce with black beans and rice (lunch portion): tortillas were very tender and pork was INCREDIBLY MOIST, well-seasoned with a very balanced flavor profile. Beans and rice were well-seasoned and both had their own flavor profiles which complimented the enchiladas. Perfect meal!! For dessert I had the Chimi Churri Cheesecake. Presentation was beautiful, pastry was cooked perfectly but cheesecake was frozen; my expectation was that it would be warm; no less delicious though! Herma (I assume she's a shift mgr.) made rounds following up with customers regarding their level of satisfaction with their experience. I mentioned the frozen cheesecake just as a note but also balanced it with how wonderful the meal was overall. I didn't ask her to remove it from my bill, but she (unbeknownst to me) authorized it to be removed. I thanked her for the gesture but reassured her that I was totally happy with the meal and it wasn't necessary. She and the host, Fabio, reassured me that they just wanted to ensure I was happy as a customer. I reassured them that I was totally pleased, thanked them for their generosity and insisted that I pay for it. Fabio and Herma (??unsure of spelling) are WONDERFUL!! Customer is EXCELLENT and I will always a take an opportunity to dine in this establishment. THANK YOU to the kitchen, wait staff and management at Monterrey for amazing service and a wonderful dining experience!!
