Was a great restaurant. Great mongolian bbq for low price. It's a shame they closed. (covid caused them to permanently close)

Please order their sandwiches!!!!! Their sandwiches are easily some of the bests I’ve ever had!!! Very flavorful, nutritious and pretty affordable. Their meals are pretty good and you can literally add everything without paying more.

Best food on Franklin. Waiting for them to reopen post-Covid to get some of that amazing Mongolian food again!

I really like that you fill out your order on a card so it can be personalized. Staff are incredibly friendly, the food is delicious and reasonably priced! If I lived closer I would go all the time, but I’ll have to settle for stoping by whenever I’m in town.

I wrote a 5 star review in the last couple of months as I have been a frequent eater at Ms Mong in my 4 years at UNC. I haven't gone anywhere as often as I have gone to Ms Mong in 4 years; however, the past two experiences I have had at Ms Mong have been absolutely awful. Today I ordered a large bowl at Ms Mong, and the portion was half of what it used to be at best. I don't think I even got a full cup of rice and there were hardly any vegetables. I looked around and the normal bowl looked like more food than what I got, the large. And last week, I waited on my food for about 30 minutes, only to discover that someone had taken my food. I would've sat their for hours if I had not realized it was unusual. What used to be the greatest deal for quantity and quality on Franklin has gone away. That may be the last time I go to Ms Mong unless I hear or see improvements.

Spice level skull is the spicyest dish you can get in Chapel Hill. Quantity of food is very good for the price.

I got the standard banh mi with pork. So juicy and filling! It was also only $6 so good bang for your buck. If sandwiches aren't your thing you can also customize your own bowl here, although I do still think the banh mi sandwiches are the true gems here.

This used to be my favorite place for cheap asian food but not anymore. My fried tofu was very dry and cold. And then I found a piece of hair in my food. It was disgusting. Although they remade my food, I was still very uncomfortable with it. Probably not gonna come back anymore.

I have been to Ms. Mong numerous times in the past, but I have never been so disappointed with the food this much. Under the new management, not only the food quality has gotten worse, but the contents within a bowl has also downgraded. I ordered a large bowl with very few toppings: 4 types of proteins (beef, pork, chicken, and fried tofu), pasta noodles, onions, and jalapeños. This was my second time ordering the exact same thing, and I just couldn't help but notice how my bowl was overwhelmed with pasta noodles and rice. It seemed as if they just wanted to make it look like it was full by adding a ton of pasta noodles. For my proteins, I could count to about 12-15 pieces of actual chunks of proteins, and the rest were very small chopped pieces of protein. Throughout my whole meal, I just felt as if I was carb loading. The flavor itself was okay, but really the content of a "large bowl" is what made me dissatisfied with my experience. I will have to try next time without getting any pasta noodles, but I most likely won't be back for awhile. Posted a picture before I actually ate this. I dug up to showcase that the bowl had stingy amounts of protein.

They give you so much food for such a good price! Definitely a great option for vegans and vegetarians because they load each dish with veggies which I love! A CH staple for me.
