Went one time and it was wonderful, the second time they had a fly problem. Good food though.
Great place for variety of Thai cuisine!
We are from out of town, so won't be back anyway, but this was the worst Thai food we've ever had. We ordered shrimp Pad Thai and fresh spring rolls. Total bill was around $24 - between the Pad Thai and the 2 spring rolls we got 5 small shrimps. The spring rolls actually had 1/2 shrimp each. The Pad Thai tasted very strange and had a ton of overcooked eggs, and after serving it out on our plates we found a bug in the container.
Very good food. Totally worth it. Will definitely go back.
Weirdest tasting Pad Thai I've ever had, mostly chunks of overcooked egg, and a bug in the box once we portioned out our food. Also, between the Shrimp Pad Thai and the fresh spring rolls (with shrimp) we received 5 total shrimp, and they were small. Really sad and gross. Also overpriced!
We were really looking forward to a nice dinner out at Sawasdee. We moved to Chapel Hill from north Raleigh, and had eaten at Sawasdee in Raleigh many times before, and it had been excellent. I had noticed Sawasdee in Chapel Hill being quite empty—now we know the reason.
The staff was kind and helpful, and the menu selection is awesome: vegan and gluten free options. The food is great too. I was a disappointed by the long wait for our food, however; many other diners also experienced delays receiving their dishes. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and dinner.
I ate the "evil jungle noodles". It was wonderful. A mix of pad Thai mixed with curry. I highly recommend if you like spicy. This restaurant also has good standard Thai noodle dishes. If your wondering around Franklin Street, this place is definitely worth a try!
Excellent food, great service. Loved it!!
This was the first restaurant we attempted to try since moving here. We went in at 2:00 for a quick lunch and were intercepted by the server before we were sat. Apparently, even though they close at 2:30, you can't get service at 2. Kind of crazy. Terrible first impression & since this experience, many people have told us that this is normal behavior for them. If you want to stop serving at 2, change your hours and avoid this problem.

Great, authentic Thai food including some less common menu items like Khao Soi
Pretty good thai food and ramen(soup is a bit too thick foe me) Lunch special has good price but the rest of the menu is kinda expensive.
Great food and wait staffed very friendly. Had Drunken Noodles and they were fantastic.
Friendly staff, quick seating and the menu looked great... But when my peanut Thai rice arrived, it looked pretty unappealing. Flavor was lacking and the vegetables looked like they came out of a frozen pack. My partner's food smelled like dog food. For their drink options, I wanted to try their Jasmine tea, and it was $2.50 so I assumed it would at least be some loose leaf tea, but no it was a tea bag in a little metal pot. Now this meal cost us $13 dollars each, so I can't even give them that. Overall, we won't be coming back and will not be recommending this place to friends.
Great place! Food was amazing and the place is very nice and clean. Definitely try this place out.
