Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill

Reviews led my expectations to be much higher than they should have been. Food was ok at best. The famous filet biscuits were very dry.

Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill is in a brand-new location, and it looks fantastic. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with an open kitchen that adds a nice touch to the atmosphere. They also have an impressive wine cellar with a wide selection of wines. Service was excellent from start to finish having Julie as our server. We had lunch and everything was cooked perfectly—especially the steak biscuits, salmon, and steak salad. The wedge salad was also fresh and flavorful. A great experience overall.

I had a party dinner and we had a blast and the staff was amazing. The manager on duty was awesome and our waiter NICK was phenomenal, he was the best sever I had in years. I would highly recommend and I will be back.

Went with a large group last night. We had the best waiter ever, Nick! He was so kind and very helpful. The food was so good and those were the best steak rolls I have ever had!

Great food, great service, and awesome atmosphere!

This was our first time trying this restaurant and we will definitely be back. Our server Sarah was kind, polite, and super helpful throughout the entire dinner experience.

I had the specialty Thai chili Salmon & my boyfriend had the Bistro Chicken and added goat cheese. Delicious!

This is my go to restaurant when looking for a nice place to take guests or to celebrate a birthday. Very good food; Since it’s a steak and chop house I order a steak rather in house ground sirloin burger. I’m not thrilled with their mixed drinks because I don’t think they make their own sour mix but the wine and beer selection is good. I usually make reservations before hand as it can be busy on the weekends.

There are a lot of steakhouse options and while Stony cooks a pretty good steak, I weigh several options at this price point:
1. Is it better than I can cook?
2. Is it better than other restaurants at a similar price point?
3. Is the service worth the cost?

In the case of Stoney River the answer is NO to all three. You can get a No to the first two and I’ll keep coming back if the service is great. But in the Stoney Creek case… the service is our least favorite compared to at least 4 other area options in a similar price point. We came tonight as a last minute choice for a number of factors, but this will be the last time.

I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. I was overcharged for a child's portion simply because of my age, which feels completely unfair. According to the manager and head chef (the "beef police"), beef is more expensive when you’re old, and they were quite rude about it. I expected to pay less for a smaller plate, not more for the exact same meal kids get. It’s frustrating and left a bad taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively! I won’t be returning for a full-size portion if this is how they treat customers. Very disappointed!

Over all good experience. Good food, good service and good ambience. Slightly on the expensive side, but that's alright considering the experience. Easy to spot and plenty parking available. Definitely will visit again.

Our waiter was the happiest sweetest guy. He never failed to come to our table without a huge smile on his face. The food is amazing. It truly is so good and worth the higher price point. The portions are huge so to-go boxes are common. The menu is very broad so everyone is able to find something they will enjoy. The drink list is also very large. The atmosphere is elegant with lowlighting bringing on that fancy vibe. Bathrooms are nice and smell AMAZING. This is a GREAT place for birthdays, work dinners, family visits, or any other special occasions.

Warning- its freezing inside so I'd recommend wearing or bringing a jacket/sweater

Had reservations for a party of six. Huge disappointment! What happened to my 5 star Stoney River? Half the entrees were cold. My steak and my sister’s steak was overcooked (and I mean to the point that the outside was hard)- definitely not medium. My steak was barely warm. My husband ordered his medium rare. It was rare and cold. The service was extremely slow and not the typical excellent service. Tables that were sat 20 minutes after our party was served before our party. Not to mention the water carafe was filthy. I also want to mention that you must wear a mask if you are walking through the restaurant, but they seated parties on top of one another while they had half the dining area closed- unacceptable! Sadly, this was my go-to restaurant- not anymore.

I love this Stoney River! Excellent Food and Service. Steaks have always been prepared properly and the desserts....well---you have got to try the carrot cake. I have eaten at other Stoney River's and this is definitely my favorite location. The service at this one is just far above the others.
