Great food. Palak paneer with lamb and the meat samosas are always on point. Get the garlic naan and ask for extra rice.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

First time here and I absolutely loved the place! Their lunch buffet is literally the best indian food deal in the Chapel Hill area! Highly cost-effective, there are quite a variety of options, especially in the vegetarian section, both suited with rice and naan. Crispy fresh-fried pakodas and golab jamuns were the cherry on top. The only thing is you have to come quite early for the buffet (11am - 2pm, which is quite early for lunch, atleast for me). The ambience is also pleasant and would the decor keeps reminding you of the restaurants in India. Highly decc, would definitely visit again!Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options, really refreshing as compared to the pretty conventional non-veg options.

Vegetarian options: The vegetarian menu is extensive and clearly marked. Also they offer a vegetarian thali combo for people like me who suffer from menu indecision, or just want to get something for a date night in, or a small family thing.

Last went here when I was 24 years old in the year 2008 and got above average service and hope to get the same service 16 years later today in 2024. Will likely come here again with my friends this year to dine out.

Stopped in for dinner. Opened the door and was assaulted by the smell of mold and urine. Should have left then but it's nostalgic for my husband so on we went. I could not order any food because I knew I could not eat it, the smell was so disgusting. My husband is made of different stuff and had a meal that he says was good. I ordered something to go, got home and it was the wrong thing. I called and was grilled about what I actually received which was highly inappropriate, I finally had to raise my voice to get past this and that dish refunded. I wish I had insisted they refund the generous tip also. 12/10 do not recommend, for any reason.

food that feels like home! I see some complaints about the atmosphere, but I don't agree. The vibe feels like a place that focuses on the food, which I appreciate in a restaurant. I highly recommend this place. everyone who works there is so kind and I really appreciated the service. please go support this place!

I love a good Indian buffet but this was not. Nothing had a good taste except the vegetable korma sauce (but it had few vegetables in it). The masala chai was good as a beverage but not included in the buffet. I took a plate of food and ended up not eating it. Even the naan wasn't worth eating. Also the place is dumpy. Very poor ambience.

One of my go-to restaurants in chapel hill. Food is good quality for ~$15 a full plate, and a buffet option if that’s your style. The restaurant itself has great vibes, it’s downstairs and older but colorful, low lighting, more seating that you’d think, and the staff is very nice. Plus it always smells amazing.

On my last visit, I ordered Tandoori Chicken and a mild Chicken Tikka Masala. They got the spice level just right, leaving me completely satisfied. The flavors were amazing!

Basement restaurant. The door is closed, which makes it feel as if you are going into a nightclub... immediate to your left are the restrooms, in front of you a curtain with a mirror behind it (from the heydays?) and to your right is a dingy carpeted staircase that leads you in the basement restaurant. Service is friendly, and prompt, the quality of the food is subpar. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with a naan. The naan was good, crispy, good. The Tikka Masala was dark meat, some of the pieces not very tender, and the sauce was very thick. Quite bland taste (I ordered medium spicy, and it was very mild). I would pass. I am afraid their best days are behind them.

I'm obsessed with their lamb biryani, they also have really good assortments of freshly made naan and really good samosas!

My wife and I ate lunch here in August, 2023. I ordered Malai Kofta, and it was excellent. My wife ordered a shrimp curry dish. She did not really like the taste (it tasted fine to me) so she decided she would like to get something from the buffet. I was planning to pay for both the items we had ordered, the buffet for my wife, as well as the two servings of naan bread that we ordered. The owner would not allow us to pay for the food my wife had ordered but decided she did not like. Instead, he only charged us for her buffet, which was less than the entree she had originally ordered. Furthermore, he removed the charge for one of our orders of naan because naan was available on the buffet. I thought this was extremely generous of him. I will definitely be going back to this restaurant in the future. In addition to the great food, their service and customer service was top notch.

For under $12, you don't typically find a decent buffet, but this one was good for a quick lunch. There are mostly chicken and vegetable options. Naan served at the table was very good. On the buffet I tried a variety of dishes. The chicken Tikka was the best dish I had that day. Good flavor, great sauce, and seemed to have good quality chicken. The chicken curry wasn't as flavorful as I expected. Pretty one dimensional. It could really use some heat. Tandoori chicken was also bland and not hot, temperature wise. I tried a few of the vegetable stews. They were all fine.Take out from here may be a better option, but for a quick and cheap lunch, it worked. The location is unassuming, at best. You enter the side of a building and then go downstairs. Doesn't really look like much from the outside. It's clean but very outdated. Some of the seating area is used for storage. This could definitely be more appealing with some effort.Service was good. Since it's a buffet, you don't need much but my plate was cleared quickly after I finished. The lady working answered questions I had about items on the buffet also.Overall, it was a good experience at a very good price.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian entrees and desserts.Parking: Parking on side of and behind building
