Granville has been a huge disappointment since day 1! Filthy on move in day (room, bathroom, common spaces). Stairwells with broken glass, vomit, trash on a daily basis. Toilet has not worked well since move in day with many repair requests. Flooded basement closed for weeks and smells of mold! Internet issues regularly and most recently NO hot water!!! A notice sent out to make sure the residents are sure they have it turned to “hot”! Really? They think that some of the smartest kids in the country don’t know how to turn a shower on? EXCUSES for poor living conditions at the most expensive UNC housing! DISGUSTING!!! Is this boot camp or college????
Extremely rude kitchen staff who do not prioritize the need of their guests.

My son’s room at Granville Towers has BED BUGS and all the management is telling us is that their PROTOCOL is to advise him to stay in a bug-infested room. Let me ask you, would YOU stay in a bed bug infested space? We are having to pay for a hotel out of our pocket on top of the rent we have already paid to Granville. They seem to care more about covering their assets than about the quality of life for our students.
Terrible. Especially East Tower. Right now, no working elevators, no AC/heat, and no water. The elevators haven't worked for weeks, and only intermittently working for 6 months. Water is routinely not available. Management is completely unresponsive, with the constant reply "we are working on it". Windows were filled with mold during move in. When water doesn't work, students are told to go to another tower and a room to shower will be provided. Kinda defeats the purpose of having your own bathroom. This place is supposed to be an upgrade to the dorms, but the place is in disrepair. Picture of current East Tower water.
