The Honeysuckle Tea House

I recently photographed a wedding at The Honeysuckle Tea House, and while the rain kept me from exploring the grounds as much as I’d have liked, it’s clear this is a unique and charming venue. The rustic, cozy atmosphere inside made for a warm and inviting setting despite the weather, and the surrounding greenery added a beautiful, natural backdrop. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the event, which made the day run smoothly. I can only imagine how lovely the outdoor areas must be on a clear day—definitely a venue worth considering for anyone wanting a scenic, laid-back space with great hospitality.

The entire team was a joy to work with. Incredibly helpful, kind, and resourceful! Beautiful venue, great for kids running around. All our guests had a lovely time.

Sandy and her team are just the best! Honeysuckle Tea Room is beautiful - no doubt - but the care and sweet presence of Sandy is what made the evening magical. Thank you. Worth every penny.

Attended a wedding and arrived in an RV. There was plenty of parking even for our 24ft rig. The grounds are marvelous and everything about this place is superb. The food and staff were excellent! I am certain our hosts were happy too because we saw nothing but smiles.

Our micro wedding at the Honeysuckle Tea House was nothing short of magical! The staff was attentive. The prices very reasonable and the quality of the food and flowers exceeded expectations! Don’t sleep on this amazing venue

Attended a memorial service held there April 12, and despite the sad occasion, I learned about a Chapel Hill gem!

Very nice seclusion and a great facilty

Our son and new daughter-in-law had their wedding at the Honeysuckle Tea House in March 2025. Rebecca from Events by Rebecca was extremely helpful as our day of wedding coordinator ~ she made all the behind the scene pieces fall smoothly into place. Rebecca works as the primary wedding coordinator for this venue. I would highly recommend her as she knows all the in/outs of the venue and was able to quickly change our ‘outdoor’ wedding to inside the pavilion and make it beautiful (due to the weather). The Honeysuckle’s event coordinator, Sandy, was on point with coordination of cocktail hour, dinner, and going the extra mile on the dessert bar. Very positive experience with this venue!

Edit: I initially left a one star rating with no review. I now see the owner claims they have no record of me being there. Are they keeping a guest log, or just hoping nobody notices the rude staff, overpriced mediocre food, and faux vibe they’re trying way too hard to pull off? If they spent as much effort on hospitality as they do on damage control, they might actually earn a decent review.

The team at the Honeysuckle Tea House was absolutely amazing at making our wedding day so special. Sandy and Justin were very prompt with communication and made all the steps of planning our day so easy. The location is gorgeous and provided many options for photos! We cannot recommend this location enough!!

Very rude

The Honeysuckle Tea House is a magical place. It’s beautiful, quiet, simple. We were married in Dec. when the blueberry bushes provided a warm red backdrop. The pavilion was sparkly and cozy. The s’mores station was delightful. When the rain came on our day, the staff smoothly shifted to a beautiful indoor ceremony without a hitch. We were in good hands. The staff here wonderfully balances flexibility and attention to detail. They made our day just how we wanted it. Thank you!!! If you’re looking for a sustainable wedding where the beauty is in the simplicity of a place and where nature can shine, this is a wonderful venue.

We had our DREAM vow renewal at the Honeysuckle Tea House!!! A million stars!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the service to the beautiful space, it was top-notch. Our guests kept telling us how much they loved it! Svetlana and her team are truly incredible professionals—they made all of our dreams come true, If you are looking for a venue that has natural beauty and a skilled and deeply caring team, this is it. We are so thankful for the Honeysuckle team!

We worked with the Honeysuckle Tea House to host my sister’s Bridal Shower and could not have had a better experience. Sandy was so helpful when planning the event and checking in leading up. Rebecca who worked with us during the event was amazing and truly helped with everything! The space was absolutely beautiful. Neal and team did an amazing job with our grazing table. We were obsessed with the mini cheesecakes and pimento cheese sandwiches but truly everything was delicious! Would certainly have a wedding here.
