Came to NC to visit colleges with our sons and this hidden gem was just down the road from our airbnb - awesome dive bar with very good service and nice people! We will definitely be back! Side note- they don’t serve food but the atmosphere and company make up for it!

Local dive bar with a friendly crowd, great owners and cool vibe. Love all the outdoor seating and the campfire. Been a few times so far and also enjoyed the live music. Love this place!
Busy Bee Renovations
Few local water holes have this much character and none have this much history. If you’re ever around you have to stop by even if it’s just to check it out. They have live music from time to time as well so even better to relax after a hard weeks work.

The Kraken is a great place to relax with friends and drinks, to listen to live music. The place has a funky, but welcoming atmosphere and they get bring in a wide variety of acts, from Indy, to rockabilly, to blues, to rock.
It was very e joyable to talk to the owner who was our bar tender and did such an awesome job. He was extremely informative and funny as well. Loved all the different areas of sitting where people could come hangout.
