I had high hopes, but my classic taro boba tea only tasted like taro for the first 2 sips :’( the flavor must’ve been all at the bottom and the rest of the drink tasted mostly watery/milky. The tapioca bobas only lasted for about half the drink. For the price I was hoping for a bit more. Alas
Horrible. I walked in when the sign said "Closed" because it was during normal hours when I knew they were open; it turns out the employees forgot to flip the sign to open—anyway, I got a matcha tea with bubbles. The tea tasted like nothing, no matcha, no milk, no sweetness, just like water, pretty much. They also kindly threw in about 12 bubbles to top off my large 8 dollar tea. In conclusion, tasted like nothing so bad and had barely any bubbles. Just go to Moge Tea next door, much better.
Togo Forgot all my sauces for everything I ordered would have been 1⭐️ but food was good... naked takoyoki is nasty needs sauce
Super watery bubble tea (25% sweet). Interior smells a little artificial. Large diversity of toppings and flavours. Popping boba is fun.
There is seating, wifi, and a store with stuffed animals. It’s fast service and not usually crowded. I just find the bubble tea (Boba) very hit or miss. $8 for mango green tea w lychee jelly and mango popping boba … that is not very potent… is just a bad deal. I hear their rice balls etc are nice, though.
The boba tea is average, but the onigiri and other food items are delicious
The service was amazing, and the workers super kind and friendly however the rice ball was terrible. I haven't been in awhile but the rice balls were cold which was okay but the rice was a bit mushy which is why I didn't enjoy it that much.

Accidentally forgot my boba, refixed my drink in, like, 30 seconds even though I definitely didn't expect them too! Extremely nice about it. Not a long wait AT ALL. Will definitely be coming back asap.

I placed an online order on DoorDash for pick up specifically ordered I order pork dumplings.
The store disregarded my order and negligently gave me something that I did not order, Shrimp! Which I am severely allergic to! I had a horrible allergic reaction due to Yaya Tea workers careless regard to my order. There is not even a store manager over the store which partly explains the restaurants adherence to basic health department regulations.

I am extremely disappointed in this place. Ladies are wonderful, but management is absolutely terrible. The order was wrong twice since I've been here and was told I would get a refund, and it never happened. Showed proof to a young lady and spoke to Anthony, showing that nothing was refunded. After 1 week of waiting for a refund, it still has not happened. I am thankful for getting 1 item I guess you can call free even though I spent time and money coming to this place for an answer, I will never come back. Half of the items on the menu are no longer available. False advertisement and poor management. I didn't feel cared for. Sad because the food is pretty good. Tea could be better. DO NOT USE THE KIOSK. PAY CASH ONLY I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT!!

Really really good milk tea! I come from Singapore and this is easily one of the best bubble teas I’ve had! I personally love Jasmine milk teas, and this place absolutely nailed it. It is great has milky, which I absolutely love. The drink is also not that pricey! I would highly recommend this place if you want good bubble tea in the Chapel Hill area.

Yaya tea is probably the best boba place on Franklin Street! The boba tastes amazing at a great price, and the atmosphere is very comforting. There is a lot of cute merch on display for sale. Yaya tea also sells food, and I have doordashed the rice balls multiple times. The rice balls taste amazing, and have cute packaging with adorable stickers I always save! The overall aesthetics are super cute, and it is very convenient ordering in store with the computerized machine or with the friendly workers. Highly recommend the Spam RB or making your own boba drink, as the drinks are very customizable!

I am a huge fan of boba, so I was very excited to come here and was pleasantly surprised! After some deliberation (the amazing workers at the front helped me to make a decision), I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea and absolutely loved it. I do wish if there were more flavors for their milk tea, but I still was happy to come here and I really enjoyed my drink.

It honestly does not even deserve 1 star. I’ve been going to moge tea and thought I’ll try yaya. The staff gave death stares to all customers and took 35 mins from waiting for the guy to take an order to getting my drink.
Avoid at all costs!!

The fruit tea was not good at all. No flavor whatsoever. Complete waste of money. Will not go back. This was my first time there and there was no one around to provide any assistance with the menu.
