I was recently at Zogs. Collin was one of my favorite bartenders I’ve had. Wish I could see him on Thursdays too. - Big Mike

Great atmosphere, Colin really made our night. He was friendly and chatty and he made the best white Russian I've ever had :)

We came here as a grad school cohort for a night out and the bartender gave us extraordinary attitude for no reason. Every time somebody walked up to order something, he would reliably snub them. He would circle around us, continuously asking for our IDs, even though he had previously checked and nobody in our class is under 21. He also refused to let us pay in cash and insisted that we all had to open tabs, even though there’s literally a construction paper sign that says “cash is king”. The kicker was, one of my friends saw that he was busy with another customer, and reached for a straw in a dispenser ON TOP OF THE BAR and he proceeded to swoop over and SLAP HER HAND so hard the sound reverberated across the interior of the establishment. It’s worth noting all of these offenses were completely unprovoked, we did our best to be extremely kind, the only time we even interacted with him was to close out or order drinks. Spend your money elsewhere!

The owner Mandey was (still is) amazing and provided top notch service to me and my department when we organized social events at her bar. She was incredibly responsive, helped us think through logistics, came up with fun themed cocktail menus (a Don Quixote cocktail??) and was fun to work with. Would definitely recommend hosting an event with her.More generally, Zog’s was one of my favorite bars during graduate school - I love the chill vibe, mature crowd, and pool tables (seriously, where else in Chapel Hill can you play pool??). AND IT’S DOG FRIENDLY! Go have a beer, shoot some pool, and pet some dogs. Sounds like a stellar night to me!

Bar tenders incredibly rude, way better places to play pool and to be treated in chapel hill

Best bartenders in chapel Hill. Pool tables are a bit scuffed but still a great time. Rougarou just downstairs is also an awesome spot with tasty Cajun food and live music most days

Great specialty cocktails by Daniel with great local knowledge. We came with friends from UNC and Chris at the door knew everyone by name. It was a bit crowded but worth it for the vibes

Best bar ever! Very chill atmosphere. They have boardgames to play with your friends, or you can play a game of pool. They have some very delicious and very creative cocktail options and you can order food up from their restaurant, Imbibe. This is absolutely my favorite bar of all time and the people who own it and work their are all amazing people who deserve your business!Update: still the best!

The best and safest dive bar in Chapel Hill. Period.

I use to love playing pool here but the bartender Chris is very unwelcoming. I’d love to speak with the owner

Bouncer tried to confiscate my 23 yr old daughter’s valid NC license. She had to call the Chapel Hill Police to get it back - seems very odd - wondering how many people don’t call the cops and bouncers ‘keep’ the ID. The next question is what are they doing with these ‘confiscated’ IDs?

the worst bar. They took my ID and I’m 23. The cops came and gave me my ID back bc I’m 23. They r stupid

A pool bar with two tables that are some of the best in town. Paid for by the hour. There are also some arcade games that sort of work sometimes.Staff has always been friendly minus the angry guy iykyk.Fresh crowd expected of a college town with rotating people of constant and new. The food comes from imbibe downstairs when it's open. Easily one of my favorite bars in downtown because it manages to maintain a positive atmosphere and always has a fun selection of drinks around the holidays. The decor is also probably the best with the hand drawn art decorating the ceiling tiles and the cool art pieces all over the walls. Overall a good place to vibe with friends if you wanna shoot some pool but aren't feeling the high end pricing of Crunkleton or the negative vibes of Carrboro night life.

The bartender, Chris was very rude. I walked in with a smile on my face, and the way I was treated completely ruined my experience. I tried to be positive and friendly with him but he was determined to snub me, for no reason.
