This is a true Neighborhood Sports Bar. Everyone here is welcoming, friendly and personable. Jeff Reed is a gem! He and the staff know our names and remember our favorite drinks and greet us each time we come in. The Wednesday night trivia is a blast! We love the Pittsburgh influence food and the Steeler theme, although all are welcome!

We love that Carolina Steel is a true Pittsburgh Steeler sports bar. The memorabilia and photos on the walls make it a fun place for former Pittsburghers to enjoy a Steeler game as well as participate in the weekly trivia nights. We also lived 9 years in Chapel Hill so the Carolina connection is also enjoyable for us. The owner, Jeff Reed, is personable and attentive to his customers. Always stops to say hi and talk a bit. The food is very good and the Pittsburgh favorites on the menu are especially attractive to us and to the group from our community which has a sizable Pittsburgh/Western PA club. (Pittsburgh salad, Pittsburgh style sandwich topped with fries, pierogis, for example)
The staff is so inviting and welcoming. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The service was prompt, even though it was a busy time. No matter what you order from the menu, it is excellent! You can’t go wrong! The atmosphere is great! Whether you’re an avid sports fan or a weekend warrior, you will enjoy your time at Carolina Steel Sports Bar!Dietary restrictions: Also, I have some food allergies. I expressed my concerns with the staff and they were able to check ingredients and accommodate me.
