I never ate here before but with my vegan daughter (the other of us are close but not quite there yet), this place can easily convince you that it can be an amazing diet to stick to, with menu items like these!! I've cooked a gazillion vegan recipes, but never had seitans, cheeses, sauces, and recipes like these! Truly amazing but top notch chefs (South African owners/chefs and I presume many other gifted cooks, from here and there, on staff.) I am in love with their food! I wish there was somewhere indoors to eat when it's 96 degrees and 60%+ Fahrenheit to eat, but they manage to make a cool outdoor space that is fun and eclectic to eat in. It's truly a whole experience from outside to the in, where you find a deli and dessert display my daughter can not leave without purchasing at least one to take home for sweet cravings later (too full to eat there-the portions are HUGE!).”

I was so happy to find that they also had very affordable bubble tea as a drink option. the service was amazing, orders we delivered promptly and the waitstaff was just wonderful and friendly. they have a buffet with some picky eater friendly kids foods. “I celebrated my birthday at Carolinas oyster bar last night. The hostess advised a table for two wait time was about an hour. I said okay, she responded back do you want to be added to the wait list? I said okay. She said she didn’t know if I wanted to wait! As we waited we had drinks at the bar, the bartender made a strawberry lemon drop, the best! Calamari and oysters for appetizers. I also ordered a lobster and shrimp roll! It was so delicious second bite I had three pieces of a lobster shell! Anthony was our waiter, I called him over he was in shock and said let me get my manager. Manager came over, I showed him the three pieces of the shell. He said that’s a possibility when they take the lobster out of the shell. No apology was provided, no offer to compensate the experience I had. I didn’t request a manager the waiter thought his manager would resolve the matter. Even though the manager offered to get me something else. I was nervous to get another meal especially when I run a risk for this to happen again. He said happy birthday enjoy your night. The managers response lacked empathy, poor customer service, I don’t care you will not be the first or last customer that this will happen to. In the back of my mind I wondered if I was a different race besides black would his response be the same?! The food was a ten even though I wasn’t able to eat and enjoy the lobster roll.”

“I want to be as objective as possible. Im trying to play nice. Especially for a restaurant that charges your card for a reservation hold. Our reservation didn't get booked, so we sat at the bar. The service was good. My card got declined because it was locked. The bartender was patient while I figured it out. However, the food which is always my main focus. Let's talk about the food. It was rather disappointing. We opted for a small Salad, Chicken Parm, and Nutella pie. The only thing decent was the pie. It was huge, light and fluffy, and covered in caramel. The chicken Parm was a great size (2 big) breasts heavily breaded and covered in sauce and cheese, completely lacking flavor. The breading did have herbs. Additionally, it was completely greasey. You could squeeze the cutlet and the oil oozed. They definitely needed salt, too. The side of spaghetti was no different. The sauce was the same and lacked flavor. I did add fresh shaved parmesan, so the salt in that should have enhanced the flavor, but it was still lacking . The whole meal was void of flavor but looked esthetically palatable. I asked her opinion and she felt the same. Gave it a 2 out of 10. In fairness, she's Indian so she likes heavy flavor and spice, and I love strong seasoning, so this may not have been our cup of tea. So, take my review with a pinch of salt.”

As a wedding professional with well over 200 weddings in my portfolio, I can tell you that Steak 48’s service and care for their clients/guests far surpassed the other restaurants I have done events at. The staff was not only patience and diligent with the guests, but that went out of their way to make vendors such as myself feel comfortable. The staff was introduced to me at the start of the event and continued to call me by name, ask if I needed water/snacks, and continuously made sure that I was ready to move forward before starting to serve the next course. I was incredibly impressed and am looking forward to more events and my own date nights at Steak 48.”

African American gentleman taking money and AA lady handing out the food..... These 2 people had their ish on lock. They were so efficient and quick, and my food was fresh and hot. They were also incredibly helpful snd polite. I was amazed at how good they are at their job. About 7-9 cars ahead of me and I waited probably 3 mins from the time I drove up until I received my order and left.
These two deserve recognition for being great at their job. Definitely the extra mile.”

We went with the bulgogi of course because it’s a classic. Also tried the spicy stir fried squid off the pop up menu. Loved this surf and turf combination. The cheesecake was the perfect ending. “The food was amazing! It was our first time and we loved it. The service needs a lot of work. There was a line but it moved fast and we were quick to place our order. It took 40 minutes to receive the food after ordering. Everyone else was receiving their food after a reasonable wait time except me and the couple that ordered right after us. I had to ask at the 30 min mark and then finally received it at 40 min. We ordered to eat in but received it all in a take out bag. We ordered a #1 (received a #1 but charged a #2 on the receipt) a #3 ( but only received 1 slider, tender was missing) and a #4 (but received and extra slider). We made it work since we got the total # of chickens that we asked for and could not wait any longer for them to correct it. The dining room is a mess! We were there for well over an hour and not once did anyone come out to wipe down tables as diners were leaving. Everyone that came in had to sit at a dirty table if they wanted to dine in. An employee, in uniform, was eating at the far back right corner table during dinner rush ( Friday night 5:30). When the employee finished they also did not wipe down the table and left it dirty for the next diner. The overall service is unimpressive for a location that just recently opened (Cicero, NY). We will go back because the food was fabulous but we will not be dining in and will definitely check our order before leaving.”

We had great service from our server Noah, who was very quick to take our drink order and provided attentive service for our entire dinner. We both ordered a Chimichangas (my wife had the chicken and I had the beef). Both were delicious, well seasoned and served hot. (fwiw) noted the staff were sweeping and cleaning the restaurant tables quickly, after a table turned.”

“My second time at The Capital Grille was just as good as my first experience. We started our dinner with the Prosciutto-Wrapped Mozzarella with Vine Ripe Tomatoes and the Pan-Fried Calamari with Hot Cherry Peppers. I absolutely devoured the Calamari and the addition of the hot pepper was something I didn’t realize any of my previous calamari experiences were missing until now. For my entree I enjoyed the Seared Sea Scallops with Maine Lobster and Asparagus Risotto. It was great and creamy but I regretted not getting a steak. We finished out meal with the The Capital Grille Cheesecake and the Classic Crème Brûlée. Both were divine and easily the best cheesecake and crème brûlée that I’ve had. The crust on the cheesecake was absolutely fantastic and the crème brûlée had an excellent crust with a heavenly vanilla flavor. My favorite parts of the meal were the starters and the dessert. I’d absolutely recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.”

“I was surprised that not only has the menu prices gone up since our last dinner experience but they now also do not include complimentary valet parking. Note - Valet parking costs $15. The attendants were professional and courteous but it did take 25 minutes to receive our vehicle. Food quality - As always was very good. I had a party of six and all of the entrees were cooked as requested. The calamari was exceptional. The au poivre sauce wasn't very good and not worth the $7. Need a new recipe. Service - was a bit disjointed. Michael was our server and he explained that he was on loan from the South Park Ruth's. It took us 2 1/2 hours to eat. We waited a long time to order and then waited for what seemed like a long time and my appetizer and one salad came out. I asked our server for the other two salads and finally he brought them out along with another calamari appetizer. We then waited a long time for entrees. Finally they came along with the different sides we ordered. Again, after finishing eating it took a long time for our plates to be cleared. Our server brought out complementary birthday cakes for the table. After completion again we waited what seemed a long time to get our check. After signaling our server he finally brought it over. At the price point of Ruth Chris I expect perfection. This experience was just not what we have experienced in the past. The manager did come by the table but I really couldn't discuss this at that time with the rest of my party sitting at the table. The cost of valet parking while I appreciate why they need to charge it will cause us to utilize another restaurant where parking is complementary.”

I have tried almost every thing they have here from bánh mì, to the drinks, to the desserts and every time I can’t help but feeling so amazed by how beautiful and nearly everything is served, I can tell how much love and effort they put into this restaurant and the food, the food quality is always the same and is sooooo soooo good. The service can be slow sometimes because they’re family owned but I don’t mind waiting because I know my food is going to come out perfect every single time.
My go to meal is: cold cut (special) bánh mì + iced Vietnamese coffee with sea salt foam + the cheese and hot dog (or leek and Parmesan or cheese danish or anything really, all the small bites are all good), try them and thank me later.
I live almost an hour away from them but I still drive there multiple times a week to have my bánh mì fix. At this point I think I should just do a binding vows with them lol ?”
