“We are in love with this place! I never ate here before but with my vegan daughter (the other of us are close but not quite there yet), this place can easily convince you that it can be an amazing diet to stick to, with menu items like these!! I've cooked a gazillion vegan recipes, but never had seitans, cheeses, sauces, and recipes like these! Truly amazing but top notch chefs (South African owners/chefs and I presume many other gifted cooks, from here and there, on staff.) I am in love with their food! I wish there was somewhere indoors to eat when it's 96 degrees and 60%+ Fahrenheit to eat, but they manage to make a cool outdoor space that is fun and eclectic to eat in. It's truly a whole experience from outside to the in, where you find a deli and dessert display my daughter can not leave without purchasing at least one to take home for sweet cravings later (too full to eat there-the portions are HUGE!).”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the fig tree. It is a lovely restaurant and the staff is wonderful. It was a beautiful night and we sat on the patio. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We had an oyster special that was delicious. The octopus appetizer that was on the menu was tasty but a bit chewy. The white fish special was very good but a bit salty. The elk we ordered medium rare and it was also tasty but a bit chewy. We will visit again but probably try other items on the menu”

“Okay so first off I live in Hickory so basically I come to charlotte every here and there everytime I go it’s always to this place because that is how good the food is. It’s always fresh and always yummy the prices are pretty good and high with somethings but if you try it you will understand how good the prices are for the yummy food they have there burgers are amazing and the bbq is amazing the nachos are also amazing everything on the menu is always so yummy I can’t even tell you how much I love this place and the workers are always so kind and so nice. I will definitely be back next time I come to charlotte you got to try this place trust me you won’t regret it at ALL!”

“I celebrated my birthday at Carolinas oyster bar last night. The hostess advised a table for two wait time was about an hour. I said okay, she responded back do you want to be added to the wait list? I said okay. She said she didn’t know if I wanted to wait! As we waited we had drinks at the bar, the bartender made a strawberry lemon drop, the best! Calamari and oysters for appetizers. I also ordered a lobster and shrimp roll! It was so delicious second bite I had three pieces of a lobster shell! Anthony was our waiter, I called him over he was in shock and said let me get my manager. Manager came over, I showed him the three pieces of the shell. He said that’s a possibility when they take the lobster out of the shell. No apology was provided, no offer to compensate the experience I had. I didn’t request a manager the waiter thought his manager would resolve the matter. Even though the manager offered to get me something else. I was nervous to get another meal especially when I run a risk for this to happen again. He said happy birthday enjoy your night. The managers response lacked empathy, poor customer service, I don’t care you will not be the first or last customer that this will happen to. In the back of my mind I wondered if I was a different race besides black would his response be the same?! The food was a ten even though I wasn’t able to eat and enjoy the lobster roll.”

“I want to be as objective as possible. Im trying to play nice. Especially for a restaurant that charges your card for a reservation hold. Our reservation didn't get booked, so we sat at the bar. The service was good. My card got declined because it was locked. The bartender was patient while I figured it out. However, the food which is always my main focus. Let's talk about the food. It was rather disappointing. We opted for a small Salad, Chicken Parm, and Nutella pie. The only thing decent was the pie. It was huge, light and fluffy, and covered in caramel. The chicken Parm was a great size (2 big) breasts heavily breaded and covered in sauce and cheese, completely lacking flavor. The breading did have herbs. Additionally, it was completely greasey. You could squeeze the cutlet and the oil oozed. They definitely needed salt, too. The side of spaghetti was no different. The sauce was the same and lacked flavor. I did add fresh shaved parmesan, so the salt in that should have enhanced the flavor, but it was still lacking . The whole meal was void of flavor but looked esthetically palatable. I asked her opinion and she felt the same. Gave it a 2 out of 10. In fairness, she's Indian so she likes heavy flavor and spice, and I love strong seasoning, so this may not have been our cup of tea. So, take my review with a pinch of salt.”

“I have the pleasure of being the wedding photographer for an event held at Steak 48 last weekend. As a wedding professional with well over 200 weddings in my portfolio, I can tell you that Steak 48’s service and care for their clients/guests far surpassed the other restaurants I have done events at. The staff was not only patience and diligent with the guests, but that went out of their way to make vendors such as myself feel comfortable. The staff was introduced to me at the start of the event and continued to call me by name, ask if I needed water/snacks, and continuously made sure that I was ready to move forward before starting to serve the next course. I was incredibly impressed and am looking forward to more events and my own date nights at Steak 48.”

African American gentleman taking money and AA lady handing out the food..... These 2 people had their ish on lock. They were so efficient and quick, and my food was fresh and hot. They were also incredibly helpful snd polite. I was amazed at how good they are at their job. About 7-9 cars ahead of me and I waited probably 3 mins from the time I drove up until I received my order and left.
These two deserve recognition for being great at their job. Definitely the extra mile.”

“The wait was over 20 mins for a Saturday night since I was a party of 8. We ended up sitting at separate tables.

My table ordered Makgeolli, Kimchi Jeon, Crispy Soy Suyuk, Jeyuk Bokkeum, and Jjambbong Tang. We asked for another pack of thick noodles to add into the Jjambbong. That's an extra $4.00, and a bowl of rice is $1.00. There's no side dishes btw.

The restaurant is small and it was hot, but the food and the service was great.”

“5 ⭐️ We came back to give this location another try; had a bad experience at the drive thru previously but the owner reached out to us, listened and seemed more than genuine in his distress. He promised that it would be better. He was right. Tonight we dined in—it was raining like crazy and we didn’t want to overload the drive thru. Diana was our server and she was delightful. Personable, efficient and caring. Our meal was perfect; the atmosphere was relaxed and happy and we enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for asking us back; we will get back to our regular visits.”

“The food was amazing! It was our first time and we loved it. The service needs a lot of work. There was a line but it moved fast and we were quick to place our order. It took 40 minutes to receive the food after ordering. Everyone else was receiving their food after a reasonable wait time except me and the couple that ordered right after us. I had to ask at the 30 min mark and then finally received it at 40 min. We ordered to eat in but received it all in a take out bag. We ordered a #1 (received a #1 but charged a #2 on the receipt) a #3 ( but only received 1 slider, tender was missing) and a #4 (but received and extra slider). We made it work since we got the total # of chickens that we asked for and could not wait any longer for them to correct it. The dining room is a mess! We were there for well over an hour and not once did anyone come out to wipe down tables as diners were leaving. Everyone that came in had to sit at a dirty table if they wanted to dine in. An employee, in uniform, was eating at the far back right corner table during dinner rush ( Friday night 5:30). When the employee finished they also did not wipe down the table and left it dirty for the next diner. The overall service is unimpressive for a location that just recently opened (Cicero, NY). We will go back because the food was fabulous but we will not be dining in and will definitely check our order before leaving.”

My fiancé and I always get hot lattes, which are wonderful.For food, we always get a chicken banh mi and a pork belly banh mi, and then share the chicken curry soup for dipping. The banh mis are filled with veggies and are so fresh, and the curry (not pictured due to it being seasonal) is SO flavorful. It’s a phenomenal combination!Every time we come in, the staff is always so kind and sweet, and provide great service.We love it here and will continue to come back!!”

We had great service from our server Noah, who was very quick to take our drink order and provided attentive service for our entire dinner. We both ordered a Chimichangas (my wife had the chicken and I had the beef). Both were delicious, well seasoned and served hot. (fwiw) noted the staff were sweeping and cleaning the restaurant tables quickly, after a table turned.”
