“I was looking for a restaurant for my wife and I for our anniversary. I always wanted to eat here when I lived in Plaza but finally remembered to come since it's a special occasion. Our serve was Dylan and he didn't disappoint with service and recommendations. Ambiance was very Christmas-like and personal especially since it was the holiday's, which felt very private and personal. For starters, I had the escargot and my wife had the Apply Begger's Purse. I was a little surprised with the Gorgonzola taste since I was used to copious amounts of traditional garlic with the dish, but it was surprisingly tasty. The purse was also a good mixture of sweet and savory.I tend to be an adventurous eater and he recommended the ostrich since it was the special for the weekend while my wife had also had the special which was halibut. The Ostrich wasn't very gamy at all the was a mixture of beef and duck tase which took me for a pleasant surprise and the Halibut was cooked perfectly and wasn't very dry.For desert we tried their Flourless Molten Lava Trifle and it was he right amount of sweet.Overall, it was an amazing experience will highly recommend for any special occasion or just date night. Will be back for sure!”

They have only posted amazing picture and said great things about this place and I can confirm they’re on point with what they say. Charlotte needs a restaurant like Anju, bringing diversity, something new and executing delicious food and welcoming service! I treated myself to a solo dinner and it was exactly what I needed. K Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot 8652 Pineville-Matthews Rd, Charlotte Korean • $$
8652 Pineville-Matthews Rd, Charlotte

“Went here with friends. This is a first-time experience for us. We had a great waitress who explained how to order and cook food at our table. We were told we could order as much as we wanted and have 2 hours to eat. Any wasted food we didn't consume we would be charged per pound. The food selection was the K pot meals and the BBQ. We could order from both menus but $5 would be extra for the BBQ. Some of the meats such as prime rib or lamb were sliced paper thin, as were the soft tofu, all cooked in less than a minute and were not satisfying. The steak and short ribs were a decent size and fairly tender. Vegetables took the longest time to cook and I suggest to cook them first before one cooks thicker foods. I tried the mushroom soup and didn't like it. But my dining mate ordered the spicey Thai Tom yum soup and liked it. The chicken bulgoki just ok. Overall some items we ordered were satisfying ,others not so much. There was a sauce bar which also had French fries and small fried chicken tenders, all average tasting. There are vegetarian and vegan choices for soups, vegetables and noodles. Plenty of Beef, chicken, seafood , soy and pork items to choose from. Although the restaurant is clean the loud pounding repetitive background instrumental music was not conductive for a relaxing meal. We were glad we experienced this type of dining but decided once was enough for us. It can be a bit overwhelming when raw items placed on a small table area are waiting to be cooked. I suggest get a few items, cook and eat and order more as you wish Our meal per person for both hot pot and BBQ, was $35 .”

“Indulging in a girls' night out at Papi Queso was an absolute delight from start to finish. Nestled in a vibrant atmosphere, this establishment seamlessly blends the warmth of a cozy eatery with the excitement of a bustling social hub. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the aroma of melted cheese and a warm welcome from their entire team- setting the stage for an amazing girls' night. The menu boasted an impressive array of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and their $8.00 Frozen Rosey (Friday Night Special) promising a feast for both the palate and the soul. For starters, we couldn't resist diving into their signature Garlic Aioli sauce a perfect pair for their Garlic Tots, it was the perfect opening act for what was to come.As we savored each bite of our chosen Texas Cheesesteak grilled cheese sandwich, it became evident that Papi Queso is not your average grilled cheese joint. The combination of premium ingredients and inventive flavor combinations elevated these classic comfort foods to a whole new level. To complement our meal, we sampled their $8.00 refreshing Frozen Rosey. What truly set Papi Queso apart, however, was the impeccable service and vibrant atmosphere. The staff exuded warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked up and sat at their bar. The lively ambiance, complete with the chatter of fellow diners, added to the overall sense of camaraderie and celebration. In conclusion, our girls' night out at Papi Queso was nothing short of extraordinary. “Really, really solid option especially during Savor. For $50/person, you get a three course meal. And these aren’t skimpy portions either like what some restaurants do during Queens Feast. These are proper, regular sized dishes.Every restaurant can choose how they want to approach Savor. I liked how 300 set up their menu with one old trustee option (current menu) and one new option for each course. Between my partner and I, we were able to try everything. Here’s our take:StartersBaked Goat Cheese (old trustee): I see why this is a fan favorite. The cheese is baked with good olive oil, sun dried tomatoes, and garlic. Comes with a baguette, but I preferred dipping my biscuit instead (more on that below).Biscuit Flight (new item): Comes with three biscuits!! As well as three savory dips that are made in house. The dips were okay but as aforementioned using the goat cheese like a spread was the move for me.MainsSesame Salmon (old trustee): I actually make a dish similar to this at home, so it didn’t blow my mind but my partner liked it well enough.Roasted Half Chicken (new item): Had a nice roasted, crispy skin. Came with a garlic jus gravy and veggies. If you are carbed out from the apps, this is a good option. Again, simple but good.DessertIce Cream Sandwich (old trustee): If I could handle my caffeine after 12pm, I would have definitely eaten more of this. The espresso ice cream paired so well with the maple oatmeal cookie. Glad to know it’s a regular on the menu so I can come back and get it for an early lunch.Cheesecake (new item): Get the ice cream sandwich.”

Chef Sam Hart and team reimagined fast food classics into gourmet masterpieces, from a one-bite Crunchwrap Supreme to a final ode to The Varsity's "Frosted Orange." The attention to detail in the presentation and the knowledge of the sommeliers added layers of enjoyment. Highlights included a Sonic-inspired Cherry Limeade hamachi, McDonald's-inspired Filet o Fish, and a dessert course combining McDonald's Apple Pie with Dairy Queen's Blizzard. Visiting the South Park area for the first time, we enjoyed the great vibe of this restaurant and surroundings as well. Parking was a breeze. Even though the place was packed on a Saturday in between lunch and dinner, our wait was less than 5 minutes even though we were told it would be 20-25min.The food here was amazing. Yellowtail appetizer with jalapeño and ponzu sauce, crispy wonton nachos with ahi tuna and pick your own sliders. Sure, a $20 hamburger or $10-$20 sushi isn’t cheap, but the quality and taste of the food reflected the price unbelievably well. The presentation of the food was also top notch. There is no question what type of casual yet upscale, fun and vibrant vibe this place wants to exude, and does it very well. Service? Impeccable. Ambiance? Outstanding. And c’mon, an electronic picture on the wall which resembles a fish tank with fish names such as Oprah Finfrey, Puffer Daddy, Mackerel Jordan and M.C Hammerhead is just priceless.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly!”

“Our first visit and it was well worth it!! We made a reservation not knowing if it was going to be busy. Glad we did as it was packed. We waited about 5 minutes for our table. We later found out that there was party that had over 20 people and that out them a bit behind. We were seated and promptly greeted by our server, Grayson. He was pleasant and cordial. We made our meal choices from an excellent offering. Our soups arrived quickly and they were delicious. Our entrees took a bit longer. Gave them a little leeway in this as I am sure the kitchen was a bit backed up when 20+ orders came in at once! When the food arrived, it was well worthy the wait. Both meals were excellent. The pasta was on point. I was told it was made on site. The chicken parmesan was tender and was not overly breaded. The service was great. Grayson kept our glasses full and was attentive. The food was delicious. The restaurant had a phenomenal atmosphere. Go here if you are looking for the next best thing to going to Italy for a meal!!”

“We are located in between Greco Fresh Grille in Steele Creek and The Greek Grill in Fort Mill. They both have identical menus, but they separated out into two restaurants, with Greco having more locations around the Charlotte area. We finally tried Greco recently, so I have to compare the two. What we got:Lamb Gyro with OPA Fries (lemon oregano and feta) - the lamb meat was a little more greasy here than at Greek Grill, but still good flavor. The fries are also great.Pastitsio - Greek lasagna served with a Greek salad. This lasagna is different in that it is not alternating layers like a traditional lasagna, but instead layers of noodles at the bottom, followed by a thick layer of meat sauce, and a top layer of bachemal/cheese sauce. To compare to the Greek Grill - it was not executed properly here. I do not know if it had been sitting out or improperly prepared from the start, but the bottom layer of noodles were crispy/crunchy and not pleasant. Luckily, since it has layers of noodles, I could avoid the bottom layer to enjoy the rest of it. Definitely recommend this if it is executed properly as the flavor is good. The Greek salad was great!Service was okay, just there to take your order, not that friendly we are happy to have you here vibe.Overall a good spot for Greek Food, but you will find us going to Greek Grill in Fort Mill more just to have better execution and service.”

“I've been going to DBB since it opened, and it's really cool to see the true community hub it's grown into. Service is always top notch across the board, and it's clear how committed they are to showcasing local artists & food vendors (their truck rotation is terrific). The NoDaHood markets they host every few months are always a blast. For their core offerings - the taproom & patio atmospheres are welcoming to everyone and really clean; they recently added some pinball machines to compliment all of the tabletop and board games. And last but certainly not least - the beer. They'll almost always have something for everyone; clean classics, fun sours, heavier dark beers, stuff that's barrel-aged, solid cocktails, wine, and n/a offerings that are tasty and open the place up even more to families. They do a little bit of everything and do it well. They're THE destination for me when I get to that part of the city.”

We did however pre research some local wings spots incase we were hungry after all the dancing. Chex happened to be only 5 minutes from where we were and with a good rating we chose to give them a try. We arrived 45 minutes before closing and boy were they busy!! (That’s a good thing) Phone orders were coming in non stop all the way up to closing and people were walking in every 3 minutes. My girl friend and I ordered a 20 count wings with lemon pepper (dry) and honey hot sauce. The wings were cooked perfectly nice crunch factor and the ranch was delicious. The honey hot was let’s call it lip puckering in the lip filler kind of but still a great taste and the dry lemon pepper was very overpowering with how much seasoning was on each wing. Overall the food was still enjoyed.”

We were seated right away and, despite an extremely busy dining room, our server came to our table right away and had our drinks to the table before we knew it. The margarita, wines, and mocktails were all so delicious. Dinner was top notch. We started with the seasonal kalettes and followed with burrata salad (loved this), wine-poached pear salad, shrimp and artichoke salad, olive tapenade (a personal favorite), skillet spoonbread, butternut squash and curried pear soup (smooth and a little spicy), the NY strip and the lamb shank vindaloo. All amazing dishes. The chef visited our table at least three times and was delightful. You can tell that her heart and soul goes into this place and its dishes.
