The food is small plates so don't belive you're going to feast. My only draw back was flavor. When it said SPICE I was expecting an indulgent amount of SPICE with unique flavor compliments. Being internationally inspired I guess I was reaching. I will say that the food presentation was beautiful.”

“Definitely a special occasion spot. Their wine collection is exceptional, which is to be expected. I initially ordered a Bordeaux that I did not care for and we were able to order another bottle with no issues. My only complaint is we asked to keep the price comparable and they sent a $20 more expensive bottle. I ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly. We were there for a birthday and they sent a complimentary champagne flute for all 9 of us in our party. Amazing. I like the interior of this location more than the others. But no exterior compares to the Dilworth location.”

And the bread appetizer was perhaps the best part of the meal! Everyone should order it, as it's freshly prepared and quite exquisite. Only qualm was the noise level. Our table was sandwiched between two business dinners, and the dueling conversations were quite boisterous. Simply carrying on a conversation at our table of four was challenging.”

“You can order via app at table, via kiosk, or at counter. I order at the counter. The young lady was polite, yet very quiet.
You get a table tent with a number on it. They don't give you a cup. They bring the drink out with the food. So, if'n you're thirsty, hang tight, no drink machines in the dinning area. So if you run out of drink, hang tight, you'll have to wait for someone behind the counter to get more.
I used to enjoy going into McD's, yet after today, I'll reserve comments until after i eat.
I got the Big Breakfast with Hotcakes. Everything was hot and actually delicious. For $9.72, it was very good. I believe I'll return.
By the way, the design of the parking lot and drive-thru is a bit different. You are pretty much guaranteed to have to walk thru the drive-thru line.”

“Visiting Charlotte from New Hampshire, but had scouted out this place before we came. Interestingly enough, it appeared on the list of recommended places from our Airbnb hosts as well. We are very into the farm to table movement, big time Farmers market shoppers ourselves as well. The staff was very friendly, and more importantly, knowledgeable about the menu. Everything was excellent. They were very helpful in accommodating a honey allergy, even whipping up an alternative dressing for the salad we ordered. For the record, the kale salad we had was beyond exceptional. I am not exaggerating when I say that is was the best salad I have eaten in my 65 years! Recommended unconditionally. A must-stop for our next trip to Charlotte.”

“We held my daughter’s celebratory graduation dinner from UNCC at Barcelona Wine Bar this past weekend, and it was absolutely perfect! I planned the event far in advance with Tiana, their Sales & Events Manager, and she was thorough, communicative and handled it all like a pro, including a last minute change to the menu that she texted to me (smart). She arranged for printed menus with the event name (lovely detail!) and because they can’t include mussels, her favorite, on an event menu (understandable), they surprised us and sent her some anyway on the house. Our main server (I’m blanking on her name so sorry we love you so much!!) and our bar servers, Morgan and Justin (who we kept busy 🤣), should win personality of the year awards for their wit, humor, charm and skill (for instance, Morgan wowed us with his tapas plate stacking ability and made sure to holler in my Mama’s good ear when he spoke 🤣). It was great fun, and the food was DELISH!! Highly recommend for events and also looks like a fun place to just hang out!”

He spent his childhood in restaurants, and at home, he brought that magic to our table. I didn’t grow up eating “normal kid food,” and to this day, he’s the best cook I know. My love for food? 100% from him. The McNinch House has been on my list for over a decade—and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Executive Chef Eric O’Connor, who joined just a year ago, blew us away. We had the 4-course tasting menu (I truly don’t know how people survive the 5-course!), and every dish was a standout: *Corn & Clam Chowder – the cream is everything *Bone Marrow – best I’ve ever had *Lamb Lollipops (my husbands) – best I’ve ever had; perfectly cooked *Pork Wellington (my husbands) – the basil took it over the top *Snapper Succotash – the bacon made it *Crème Brûlée – perfectly done From the surprise oyster starter (cool presentation served in a shell over ice) to the palate-cleansing sorbet between courses, every detail was thoughtful and special. Chef Eric personally served our entrée—how cool is that? The service was impeccable, with a main server and 2-3 others helping throughout. “Chuck’s Grill, I came for breakfast… and almost needed a nap afterward! 😄 The food was absolutely delicious, the biscuit was soft and buttery, the bacon was cooked just right, and the egg sandwich hit the spot. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and disappeared faster than my willpower.

This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. Great food, friendly service, and prices that don’t make your wallet cry. “I had lunch today with my friends here and the food was delicious and genuine. It's not easy to find a restaurant that has real Cuban food. My wife and I were born in Cuba and miss this kind of food. She had the 'vaca frita' and I had 'masas de puerco'. Everything was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender with genuine flavor. The mojitos were also delicious. Our compliments to the chef and staff. If you want to taste real Cuban food, we highly recommend this restaurant.”

I had the Surf & Turf and the Lobster was overcooked. Another party had a Hamburger and was not satisfied with the quality & taste. The manager came over and took care of everything very professionally for which we very much appreciated his involvement. For that reason, we will come back to Firebirds in Stonecrest again.”

“One of my favorite restaurants when in Charlotte! The food is always delicious. I highly recommend the salmon and a glass of champagne. For dessert, the chocolate chip cookies were amazing! They are served warm and you can tell they are made in house. The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff is always wonderful. On a rare occasion my salmon was not well done, and our server quickly made sure that was resolved. I usually do a monthly stay in Charlotte and i always seem to stop at RH, because they are consistently great!”

“My wife gave me two choices for an early dinner; PF Chang's or Firebirds. I chose Firebirds. We arrived right on time but ended up waiting at the hostess desk for an unusually long time because no hostess was there. We saw a waitress in the front of the restaurant, a couple of guys working the bar, and a waitress a couple of booths down in the dining room. They all noticed we were waiting but went about their business. A hostess finally arrived and seated us in the back of the dining room. Despite it being cold outside it was very comfortable inside. After sitting down the first thing we noticed was how dirty the table was. It looked like the dishes of the people there before us were picked up and the table hadn't even been wiped off. There were bread crumbs all over the table. When our waitress came we asked for the table to be cleaned, which she did. She wiped it with a wet cloth and then dried it too. After that te rest was good. We ordered drinks and our meal. We were offered bread which was hot and fresh. The drinks were great and the food was great as usual. No hostess and a dirty table were very uncharacteristic of Firebirds. Hopefully, they were just having an off day.”
