“I had the hamburger at Painted Rooster, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor was great, and I also really enjoyed the coleslaw. The service was good, and overall I had a very pleasant experience.

My only suggestion would be to make the hamburger a little bigger or offer a larger portion. After finishing the burger and the coleslaw, I was still a little hungry. The quality and taste are definitely there—just a little more food would make the experience even better.

“WOW! This is the second time that I came here. Both times have provided the same experience.

From the “ welcome in”, it is easy to see that the staff lives Southern Hospitality.

The food is fresh and absolutely delicious!
I got the cranberry chicken salad on a very fresh croissant and broccoli salad both times. It was obvious that both were freshly made.

I accidentally spilled my drink and Lori was there in a second with a clean wet and dry cloth assuring me that I didn’t need to clean it up. “ There’s enough people here that you don’t need to clean that” is what she said with a twinkling eyes smile.

I bought a container of chicken salad to take home but worried because I had another errand to run. I asked if I could buy a little bag of ice. Someone quickly popped her head out from the kitchen and said “ don’t charge her for that!”

“Dave’s Hot Chicken in Northlake is a great spot when you’re craving something spicy and filling. The chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and the seasoning actually has a lot of flavor instead of just being hot for the sake of it. The sliders with the slaw, pickles, and Dave’s sauce work really well together, and the fries are a solid side. I also like that you can choose your spice level depending on what you’re in the mood for. Definitely a good addition to the Northlake area and a place I’d come back to.“

“As it was my first time going, I wasn't sure what to expect. It's a fried chicken establishment much like KFC and Bojangles. The difference is that the chicken is, IMO, better than the competition. Better (lightly) seasoned, and not overly greasy. As a side dish, I tried the plantains which I never had before. Not bad! And I guess that because I never tried them, I was unprepared for the flavor and texture. I, personally would like for them to open a location in Monroe, NC.“

Hay una chica en especial que es muy amable ya sea hables por teléfono o comas en el restaurante, ella es Evelyn siempre amable, atenta y sobre todo muy educada al atender y tomar pedido muy diferente a la de un joven q es muy grosero al atenderlo a uno y por teléfono. La comida es buena a mis amigos y ami nos gusta yo de hecho voy dos veces por semana . Lo que si recomiendo al manager o dueños es que revisen las sillas unas están en muy mal estado ya una amiga estuvo a punto de caer y esa silla sigue ahí es mejor prevenir accidentes q pueden pasar por ese descuido . “Im giving 4 stars for years of really good and consistent service. Unfortunately this location seems to have gone downhill ever since it converted to all drive through. I used to never have to check my order before pulling off. It was on the money every time. Now its barely correct, ever. They’re so busy that the staff doesnt have time to tell them that something is wrong with the order. Its also passed time to take responsibility for your drive through lines pouring out into the streets on Randolph and obstructing traffic. That shouldn’t be everyone else’s problem. We accepted it until your quality and standards declined. Please take responsibility and fix this issue or we will have to get the city involved.“
