All of the staff was so friendly and very prompt with refilling water, which we thoroughly appreciated. Meals come with rice, naan costs extra if you are wanting it. The tikki masala was delicious! Good sized flour tortilla filled with generous amounts of meat with lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Just delicious and a great size. Miguel was my Server when I sat at the bar and watched ESPN Deportes. For a moment I thought I might be in Mexico as all the staff is bilingual and they were all interested in watching the soccer game on the big screen bar. Large open & airy dining room, very festive & colorful. There is also a nice outdoor covered patio. A very comprehensive menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. So many good choices, it was a challenge to make a decision. All this served with complimentary tortilla chips and you get a choice of 4 different types of salsa, see my photo, they were all good but the 'house' salsas was best IMO. I would say this is one of the few spots in CLT that could compete in a bigger, dining-competitive city and we are so lucky to have it here. “I've never had a bad meal at the Flying Biscuit. We normally go to the Park Rd location but came to this location for the first time. Where there would normally be a long wait on the weekends, we got in right away because we were willing to sit at the bar. The food was prepared quickly but was still fresh and hot. I love that they offer so many non-pork options. In fact, besides bacon, they don't serve potk but they offer turkey bacon, chicken sausage and this time I tried chicken chorizo. Their grits are always creamy, the biscuits are always fluffy. I often have their biscuits and gravy because it's made with chicken sausage and its amazing and you can't find that anywhere else but the grits bowl with chicken chorizo was amazing and I'll have that again as well. “No visit to Optimist Hall will be complete without getting some desserts to go at Suarez. Browsing their selections makes me feel like a kid in a candy store! Of course I was far too full to eat any of them at the time, but trust me, they travel well and are just as good later. This trip we decided to try the Strawberry Chiffon and Tres Leches cake. Any time I see tres leches on a menu, I cannot pass it up! It was very good. I love that they have them individually made in containers since that helps to hold in the milk that makes tres leches so amazing. It is very rich so we have ate a little at a time. The Strawberry Chiffon was even more delicious than it was beautiful! I will definitely be getting it again on the next trip. It reminded me of a strawberry shortcake, only fancier. The cake was fluffy and the strawberries and cream were sweet without being overly so. I love trying different items every visit but this will certainly be a repeat every time. It's hard not to want one of each item that they offer. Everything looks so tempting! I can't wait to return and try more.“

“Recently, I had the opportunity to finally dine at this absolutely fantastic establishment. First, reservations are a must. And, make note that you will need to confirm and place a credit card on-file should you not show or cancel. Some may find this aggregating, however, I believe most fine restaurants should have this in place for customer accountability, especially when others could be served that were unable to obtain a reservation. The establishment itself is quaint and very "white tablecloth" traditional. In some ways the entrance is hidden, which offers a mystique about it. Parking is ample. The menu is not overwhelming insofar as you're unable to make a decision; it will have something for everyone. We ordered the lamb and it was superb. The service was outstanding and our waiter and server was dedicated. This is the type of establishment where you speculate a good meal and overall dining experience will occur and leave with that speculation being realized. Moreover, we did not feel rushed, but more so dined at our pace. Also, it's one of the few fine restaurants I've visited recently where customers still respect the fact that dress code should be realized. I recommend open collar and jacket for men and cocktail attire for women. No reason to go suited and booted unless a special occasion. Thank you!“
