“Went for a Friday date night and had a wonderful evening. We hit the jackpot with such a wonderful waiter, Tyler! Tyler was very professional, knowledgeable, tentative, and on cue. We were torn on what to choose, but Tyler came to the rescue and recommended entrees and a paired wine based on some of the options we had in mind. The pork chop and fish was amazing! “Our first visit and it was well worth it!! We made a reservation not knowing if it was going to be busy. Glad we did as it was packed. We waited about 5 minutes for our table. We later found out that there was party that had over 20 people and that out them a bit behind. We were seated and promptly greeted by our server, Grayson. He was pleasant and cordial. We made our meal choices from an excellent offering. Our soups arrived quickly and they were delicious. Our entrees took a bit longer. Gave them a little leeway in this as I am sure the kitchen was a bit backed up when 20+ orders came in at once! When the food arrived, it was well worthy the wait. Both meals were excellent. The pasta was on point. I was told it was made on site. The chicken parmesan was tender and was not overly breaded.The service was great. Grayson kept our glasses full and was attentive. Our waiter (feel bad that I forgot his name) was wonderful - just the right amount of attention without overdoing it.The braised short rip pizza was very good; my only quibble with it, was the short rib was a little dry. Still delicious, though. “We've been here a bunch and keep coming back. FOOD: All yum! Pay the extra $4 for fresh pasta. Apps: The Prosciutto and Burrata is a yum appetizer. We also like the little dish of beans that come with the complimentary bread. You get one complimentary refill of bread, then they charge you. Entrees: Our favorite dish is the Buttara. Amatriciana is another favorite of mine. Hubs also likes Penne Alla Vodka with Shrimp. My dad likes the Chicken Parmesan (note it doesn't come with pasta, thats another ~$9 for a side of (out of the box) pasta). There is no kids menu, they can sell you a "kids pasta" which is sauce and out of the box noodles. Drinks: Everything is good. The entire staff was GREAT from Maddie, Whitney, Franklin, Myriah, Eli and Mariah. Their service was top notch as all guests were able to be served in a timely manner but overall a fun experience.This was my first time meeting the owner Tom. He was extremely pleasant and at one point we were trying to figure out our additional sound we wanted in the front of the venue. Tom came to me and gave a suggestion, after his suggestion he said "but you don't have to do it that way". You don't meet many owners who will give you options and during what could have been a panic moment Tom gave the best suggestion but also was trusting of the decision we were going to make (we went with his suggestion by the way).The food...let's just say the leftover food I had the opportunity to take home and definitely enjoyed the next day. We did not realize until later that evening at home that my daughter was missing a piece from her Spirograph set and we must have inadvertently left it behind at the table where we were sitting for dinner. Since we live close by, I quickly returned to the Pizza Peel to search for my daughter's missing toy. This was when I met Cait. There was another family enjoying dinner at our old table and we did not want to disturb them. Cait took my information down and assured me that she would do everything she could to search for my daughter’s toy as soon as she could. Cait even offered to drive it to our house if she found it. Good news! Shortly after, I got a phone call from Cait that she had in fact found my daughter’s missing toy! We were so thrilled! Thank you so much Cait for going above and beyond to help my family! Ambiance was very Christmas-like and personal especially since it was the holiday's, which felt very private and personal.For starters, I had the escargot and my wife had the Apply Begger's Purse. I was a little surprised with the Gorgonzola taste since I was used to copious amounts of traditional garlic with the dish, but it was surprisingly tasty. The purse was also a good mixture of sweet and savory.I tend to be an adventurous eater and he recommended the ostrich since it was the special for the weekend while my wife had also had the special which was halibut. The Ostrich wasn't very gamy at all the was a mixture of beef and duck tase which took me for a pleasant surprise and the Halibut was cooked perfectly and wasn't very dry.For desert we tried their Flourless Molten Lava Trifle and it was he right amount of sweet.Overall, it was an amazing experience will highly recommend for any special occasion or just date night.
