Wow. What a great experience. The food here reminded me of the real Italian cuisines we had in Rome and Florence Italy. The owner is also a wine merchant, and the wine menu has a lot of great Italian wines. Highly recommend. Rare to find a place that can excel in all three of food quality, service, and value.
Oh my, what a wonderful discovery was Dolce Osteria! It is an oasis from the high energy, trendy and upscale places all competing with each other for top spots in popularity. Dolce is simply a relaxed, home-like and authentic Italian restaurant that is not trying to be showy, rather focused on the essentials - delicious cuisine, warm hospitality and a soothing environment. We came during Charlotte's Restaurant Week, coming here during the day. The restaurant was not busy since it was a late lunch, so we were given premium service. Having been here before, we still received great service in the past.
Food choices were impeccable and everything was cooked to absolute perfection. We had a varied menu, but suffice it to say that everything we got was absolutely marvelous.

Dolce Osteria is a charming, quaint Italian restaurant that feels welcoming and homey. The food, including Funghi, Mussels, Penna alla Vodka, Boscaiola Pasta, Tiramisu, and Lemoncello cake, was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The pasta and seafood are extraordinary, and the barbera wine is a phenomenal pour. The ambience is cozy and quiet, perfect for a special meal, making it a great spot for families and friends. The restaurant offers a variety of options, and the portions are ample with lovely presentations. It is an authentic spot, though not inexpensive. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience, many guests look forward to returning.
