“Celebrated son’s milestone to adulthood, 20th birthday as a fellow pizza lover here. After reading reviews, we drove from SC and we all agreed it was the best pizza. The staff was friendly and professional. Only downside is the no indoor seating but the outdoor aesthetics was cozy.“

“The closest to authentic neopolitan pizza your gonna get in south charlotte. Friendly and efficient staff is always a plus. We always enjoy a Margherita with sausage and occasionally try the seasonal specilas. Fresh garlic and other condiments are available to enhance the included side of marinara. Pizza could go lighter on the salt would be my only input. Arugula salad and homemade dressing is awesome. Gelato is not overly sweet and had great texture, wish they brought vanilla back. Look out for the daily specials on beer, wine, or Gelato during the week.“

“We dined here, hoping to experience their restaurant week deal, but once we got there and realized that they had a better special for the upcoming snow day... we took advantage of that. The promo was buy two pies, get one classic pie for free. The hostess was pleasant - greeting us as soon as we opened the door. Emily, our waitress, was extremely personable, sweet, and gave great suggestions. I think she went the extra mile to make sure that we had a really good experience – and even though it was a quiet night, we still felt as if she gave us personalized service. There was never a moment where we had to wait for our water to be topped off, or anything. She was truly on top of it!! The kitchen did make a slight mistake with our order, really unknowingly to us, but they were quick to fix it – then allowed us to take the extra pizza home. So actually instead of leaving with three pizzas, we left with four! Such a steal. The music playlist was perfect and such a vibe. It was a quiet night, probably because of the storm, but I'm sure on some nights - it can get a bit lively. The drink menu seemed good - but we didn't indulge this time. “My daughter and I had lunch there today. It was phenomenal. She got the chicken parm and we got a pepperoni pie. The pizza is on point and the best I’ve had in Charlotte. The atmosphere is great. Small, quaint, with tables for dine in, bar top for quick slices. The best part was how they took care of us. I was packing up our leftover pizza to go and it unfortunately fell onto the floor. They told me to wait a few minutes and they replaced all of the slices I lost. It was my fault and they didn’t have to do anything. But they did. I highly recommend the food. It is amazing. “We enjoy going later in the evening for food, beer and wine, and usually sit at the bar when seats are available. The bartenders are great. Jennifer is usually there when we go, she is so friendly, fun and efficient and is a great help when you are undecided on your drink. The beer and wine specials are good and we usually go for the salads and pizzas , both of which are really good. It's a nice atmosphere and the employees are very friendly.“

DO NOT ORDER WITH SLICE - our order never arrives correct - you waste money with any order they get - we won't do it again - sadly means we wont eat HOP as often as it's an issue - we dont eat mushrooms peppers nor onions - and our philly orders arrived with them even after one said NO VEGGIES and no radial buttons for them were marked and the other no radial buttons for them were marked and listed lettuce tomato mayo with sale and pepper as the only and it came with all that crap on them - cannot pick it off or out as its chpped all through - fuming mad!- When you have someone with an allergy to onions we never order things with them - don't make radial buttons on the menu to select if you want it and then not accept that when you don't select it! Everything was fresh and great the Sicilian pizza it tasted perfect and we were so happy it was not dripping in grease like most other places. The food was well priced especially when compared to other local pizza shops that way overcharge on everything. We will be back!“

“I recently visited PIE.ZAA in Charlotte after discovering them through the Goodiebag app, which focuses on sustainability by allowing businesses to offer discounted products that would otherwise be discarded. I love the concept and appreciate businesses that participate in reducing food waste.

The first challenge for me was the parking situation. I was able to find the location without any problem, but I had to circle the block several times before finding a spot. Just something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during a busy time.

Once inside, the cashier was very friendly and took the time to explain how the Goodiebag pickup process works. The slices are pre-boxed and refrigerated, but they will heat them up for you if you’d like, which I appreciated. While I understand the efficiency of the concept, I did wonder how ingredient transparency is handled, especially for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions.

The store itself was clean, which is always a plus. At the end of the counter where you receive your order, they had a nice selection of condiments available — red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and parsley — all neatly set up and easy to access.

Overall, it was a solid experience with friendly service and a great sustainability concept. Just plan ahead for parking!“
