“The closest to authentic neopolitan pizza your gonna get in south charlotte. Friendly and efficient staff is always a plus. We always enjoy a Margherita with sausage and occasionally try the seasonal specilas. Fresh garlic and other condiments are available to enhance the included side of marinara. Pizza could go lighter on the salt would be my only input. Arugula salad and homemade dressing is awesome. Gelato is not overly sweet and had great texture, wish they brought vanilla back. Look out for the daily specials on beer, wine, or Gelato during the week.“

Jennifer is usually there when we go, she is so friendly, fun and efficient and is a great help when you are undecided on your drink. Everything was fresh and great the Sicilian pizza it tasted perfect and we were so happy it was not dripping in grease like most other places. “I recently visited PIE.ZAA in Charlotte after discovering them through the Goodiebag app, which focuses on sustainability by allowing businesses to offer discounted products that would otherwise be discarded. I love the concept and appreciate businesses that participate in reducing food waste.

The first challenge for me was the parking situation. I was able to find the location without any problem, but I had to circle the block several times before finding a spot. Just something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during a busy time.

Once inside, the cashier was very friendly and took the time to explain how the Goodiebag pickup process works. The slices are pre-boxed and refrigerated, but they will heat them up for you if you’d like, which I appreciated. While I understand the efficiency of the concept, I did wonder how ingredient transparency is handled, especially for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions.

The store itself was clean, which is always a plus. At the end of the counter where you receive your order, they had a nice selection of condiments available — red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and parsley — all neatly set up and easy to access.

Overall, it was a solid experience with friendly service and a great sustainability concept. Just plan ahead for parking!“

“We went to the restaurant following a Panthers game. It was busy, but we were seated rather quickly. The manager, Phoenix, noticed we had been sitting for a while and took our food and drink orders. She was very attentive and professional. I would definitely recommend coming here to eat.“

Customer service was top notch going so far as to comp my beverage, pepperoni slice came out hot and crispy, folded and passed the slice test, and the pesto-ranch sauce added another level of flavor to the pizza. Crust had tight bubbles, great dough structure, and was even garnished with a garlic butter. Not to mention the place was incredibly quaint and the sound system had fantastic balance. All in all an extremely pleasurable experience and I will be coming back here again.“
