The food was awesome (I had Jalapeno Poppers and Peter Piper burger), and so was the beer selection (I had a really good blonde ale (cannot recall the name unfortunately)). We first discovered Culver’s in Wisconsin- now we love their butter burgers- so tasty and it’s like a smash burger and you can have it with many condiments or how you might like them. These burgers are sitting under a heat lamp - you order and I would be remiss if I didn’t mention a side of classic cheese curds- there are shakes made from a frozen custard base- thick and yummy - custard here is good in concretes, Sundaes and also available in frozen cups or pints etc ready to go- pre frozen . Our whole friend network loves Culver’s for freshness and flavor- try it!“

The manger explained the situation and offered alternatives. I chose to come back this week to purchase the cards and the manager remembered me and thanked me for returning as did the bartender. “My all time favorite place! I have enjoyed South 21 for 35 years! I’m a creature of habit so I always order the chicken filet sandwich fried with french fries and of course a separate order of the famous onion rings! These o-rings are the ONLY ones I eat!! The staff is ALWAYS pleasant and courteous too!! My only wish is that it wasn’t 40 minutes away, but I still visit regularly!!“

“I wanted to try this establishment because they had a special over the weekend where I got to get a free single shack burger.

So I got the single shack burger for free. I also got a double shack burger with bacon, cheese, and a variety of toppings. I ended it with a tiramisu shake.

The service was phenomenal. The place was rather loud, which I anticipated. I just didn't anticipate how busy it would be on a Saturday. That was my fault, but the staff were quick, the service was great, and the food was phenomenal. I will come back here every time.“

“I had Nashville Hot Chicken - in Nashville - a few years ago, and this is the closest I've ever come to that in NC.

This review is actually a few months old - and I've only made it back once since my first taste - but I think about this place regularly and want to go back.

I got the 'stoopid hot' sandwich both times and it takes... a while... to eat it. Too much time contemplating all the right choices I made to get there between bites.

There also happens to be beer nearby.

The balance between spicy and tasty chicken is on point, so it's not just 'we threw carolina reaper powder on it' hot. And the chicken isn't sauced, it's all in the marinade or breading. I have to assume they have a tiny bowl of two 'stoopid' chickens in the cooler they make every day for the weirdos like me.

Parking is free for the first 1.5hrs with an app setup. There's a ton of side-street parking nearby if you're up for a small walk. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.“

“I've ordered from this location several times over the years. A few times I thought the burgers were too salty, or the portion wasn't worth the price, but the friendliness and professionalism of the staff was never an issue. About a week ago I noticed the Korean chicken sandwich wasn't available. I checked online one morning and noticed it was in stock, so I placed an online order. Turns out they were still out of stock when I came to pick up my order (order placed before they opened). That day Eli was working the grill and was very helpful. Keith came over to apologize and fix the situation. I'm no one special, but that's not how Keith made me feel. Today I ordered the sandwich again and McKenzie was working the register. I saw how friendly and professional she was, which I believe to be a direct reflection of Keith's professionalism. I managed bars and restaurants for nearly 30yrs, so it's refreshing to see customer service still being given at the level I was trained to give. Keith is a great example of positive leadership, and I'm sure Eli, McKenzie and the rest of the staff are better because of Keith.“

In reference to the food, I had a cheeseburger with tomato, lettuce, ketchup and slaw with crinkled fries topped with Bar B Que sauce. In my opinion the food was very good. The only thing was that I wish that the hamburger itself had more flavor. Overall, I would definitely get it again. I didn't know that they serve breakfast, that's always a plus.
