John has done an excellent job from his managers to wait staff and to the wonderful tasting food. “Felt like i was in the village in NYC! Food was awesome! The best Italian I’ve had in a while! The homade pastas were to die for! Out of short rib but had chicken piccata and bronzino! So so good! The Burrata was awesome and the oysters, yellowtail and were so fresh and the sauces were key! Need to know how to make them! Tiramisu was yummy! Wine selection was great! Our server was so fun and loved the atmosphere! We will be back! Worth the car ride from the lake! Don’t forget the charcuterie! Lol“

“Great food, great service, but if you’re a larger party and are seated in the enclosed patio area, take heed that it will be extremely uncomfortable with the summer heat. They only have a couple of small portable fans that are absolutely inadequate for the total space, and the ceiling fans (supposedly set to the incorrect direction) didn’t help much. Even the dining room wasn’t much better. I know it’s been hot, but if the customer is uncomfortable I can only imagine the staff.“

We make it a ritual to visit every time my sons get their haircut in the same shopping center. They love the piada pockets! Also very friendly staff that goes above & beyond!“

“A mystery. Outstanding ambiance, looks and feels like nice casual cafes we ate at in Milan and Tuscany. Once inside can't believe it's in an outdoor mall in NC. Friendly service. Chicken marsala with mushrooms as good as it gets. Hearts of palm salad not on many menus but was delightful. The customers seemed to be enjoying a relaxed, quality dining experience without the pretense of a fancy place or buzz of a large busy place. The mystery-why was it only half full on a Friday night?“

I went for dinner but I liked the market they had too - would be a great place to pick up some premade dinner or fun things to cook. They also had a dessert case. They validated parking after 6 in the deck behind the building and there was some limited street parking options. The cost was very reasonable.“

“service was immaculate! so patient and knowledgeable; really knows how to sell you on the menu. first looks weren’t impressive but the taste of the pasta makes up for it all 😩 genuinely some of the best pasta i’ve had in a long time!! noodles were soft & flavorful, perfectly balanced by the mushrooms. wish the sauce was a *little* bit creamier but i would come back for this!! seasonal focaccia was like a 3/10 at best - peppercorns were NOT doing it for me but that whipped ricotta on top was a dream. i’ll be back soon to try out the rest of the menu!!“

“The prix fixe menu is surprisingly expansive and doesn't feel limiting at all. We took a risk on the ricotta to go with the house-made focaccia that comes out as a starter, even though others said it wasn't worth it. Do not skip this. It's some of the best ricotta we've had, and it pairs perfectly with the focaccia.

Every dish was executed extremely well. The plating was excellent, the portions were just right, and the pasta was the clear star. The sweet potato agnolotti was a standout for us.

Service was excellent throughout. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and walked us through the whole experience.

This may be Charlotte's hidden gem, and quite possibly one of its best restaurants. Highly recommend.“

We had the stuffed mushrooms to start for the table, 2 orders and they evaporated. They were so good.
We had a party of 6 and we all finished our food and the portions are large y'all. It was so delicious.
I'm used to restaurants cutting corners in obvious ways, like using frozen veggies for example. Not here. I had broccoli in my dish and it was fresh, sounds small but it's a detail to be appreciated!
The service was fantastic, jovial, friendly and attentive. Shout out to the entire staff.
I would definitely come back! The place was bustling on a Saturday evening, even at 6 pm so I would recommend making a reservation for the weekends. Easy parking.
Support a small family run business, the food experience was amazing. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a bite.

You should absolutely eat here (or takeout), the staff has always been excellent, the food has always been excellent (try the grandma slices), and they have arcade machines and pinball there. There's no reason not to go, if you enjoy pizza or Italian food in general. They seem to be a generational family business, and they do a great job.“

Service was also on point. Jordon specifically did an amazing job attending to our eat in needs, making sure we didn’t want for a thing. I went this past Saturday for The Queens Feast and once again I was not disappointed with service or the food. Did you talk to a manager while you were there about your issues? It takes a lot of humanity and courage to address issues in person & in real time. When you do, often a resolution can be found. Try it out the next time your disappointed. I understand reviewing a place for poor service, food, etc., but attacking a person by name is low class. Btw, who uses begrudgingly to write a review? Nice word but, seriously?“
